The ATI Foundation is proud to award a $25,000 grant to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lowcountry to strengthen and expand their Career Readiness Framework within the Community-Based Mentoring Program.

At its core, this work strengthens the one-to-one mentoring relationships that make Big Brothers Big Sisters so powerful, giving young people the support they need to discover what’s possible.

Through this partnership, more students will gain:
• Exposure to real-world career environments through employer site visits and campus experiences
• Skill-building workshops that help them explore career pathways and set actionable goals
• Monthly career readiness toolkits that equip mentors to guide meaningful conversations about careers, financial literacy, and planning for the future

This investment helps young people build the skills, confidence, and guidance they need to navigate life after high school—whether that path leads to college, technical training, or the workforce.

When we invest in mentorship and career exploration, we help unlock potential and build stronger communities.

Happy hashtag ! 🥧

Today we’re celebrating more than 3.14 — we’re celebrating the power of possibility that starts with strong math and STEM education.

When students build skills in math, science, and engineering, they build confidence, opportunity, and pathways to high-demand careers. From supporting innovative STEM programs to investing in hands-on learning experiences, we’re committed to expanding access to the tools that prepare students for the future workforce.

Because whether it’s π, programming, or problem-solving, the formula is simple:

Invest in education + empower students = stronger communities.

Here’s to curiosity, critical thinking, and infinite potential!

Many of us have heard of a food desert, but what about a book or library desert?

Thousands of children in the Lowcountry live without ready access to books in their own homes and without access to a nearby library. The ATI Foundation is proud to award a $15,000 grant to Books in Every Bag to serve the children living in book deserts in Dorchester, Berkeley, and Colleton Counties.

This initiative will place age-appropriate books directly into the homes of young children from birth through age five, helping families build their own home libraries while encouraging consistent parent-child reading. Each book arrives with reading guides and activities designed to support learning and engagement.

Why it matters:
Early literacy is one of the strongest predictors of long-term academic success. Children who enter kindergarten ready to learn are more likely to thrive in school, graduate, and pursue meaningful careers.

By supporting Books in Every Bag, the ATI Foundation is helping build the strong literacy foundation that leads to stronger communities and a stronger future workforce in South Carolina.

After serving as the inaugural Chair of the ATI Foundation, Mica Dolan, ATI President & CEO, is stepping out of the role, leaving behind a strong foundation built on employee engagement and action.

From day one, Mica championed a simple but powerful idea: our employees are a force for good. Under her leadership, the Foundation created meaningful ways for ATI team members to show up in their communities, sharing time, talent, and leadership where it matters most. That people-first focus shaped who we are today.

We’re proud to welcome Shawn Gore, ATI Chief Operating Officer, as incoming Chair.
Shawn steps into this role with a clear priority: partnerships that drive real results. His focus is on strengthening collaboration across businesses, educators, and workforce organizations.

Together we will continue to connect the right people, fund what works, and move quickly to remove barriers.

Applications for the 2026 Tri-County STEMersion Institute close soon, and momentum is building.

This high-energy, 5-day immersive professional development experience empowers educators to bring real-world relevance into the classroom — touring local industries, exploring in-demand career pathways, collaborating with peers, and developing classroom-ready lessons that connect STEM learning to today’s workforce.

When educators connect classroom content to real opportunity, students see a clearer path forward. That’s how stronger talent pipelines begin.

If you or someone in your network should be part of this experience, now is the time to act.

"We are better together." And the best way to prove it is by showing up to serve others. We loved seeing those words and that spirit embodied at A.C. Corcoran Elementary.

A team from ATI recently spent time on campus, rolling up our sleeves to support campus cleanup efforts, from cleaning hallway walls to beautifying shared spaces. It’s hands-on work, but it sends a clear message to students: their environment matters, and so do they.

This service project is part of a bigger picture. Through the ATI Foundation’s support of programs addressing food insecurity, A.C. Corcoran is seeing meaningful improvements tied to student focus, attendance, and academic performance. When basic needs are met, students are better positioned to succeed and the data reflects that progress.

This is what removing barriers looks like in action: showing up, strengthening schools, and helping create the conditions where students can thrive.

Thank you to the team at Charleston County School District for linking us to Principal Holbrook and such a great school!

The ATI Foundation is proud to partner with Pinnacle Financial Partners to award grants to East Cooper Community Outreach and James Island Outreach, supporting programs that strengthen financial literacy right here in our community. Pinnacle has also graciously offered financial professionals to directly support these nonprofits in their work.

Financial literacy is giving people the tools to make informed decisions, plan for the future, and build long-term stability for themselves and their families. By investing in organizations already doing this work well, we’re helping remove barriers and expand access to practical, life-changing knowledge.

This partnership reflects what we believe works best:
✔️ Local organizations with proven impact
✔️ Private-sector partners committed to community outcomes
✔️ Resources deployed where they can make an immediate difference

We’re grateful to Pinnacle, ECCO, and JIO for their leadership and excited about what this collaboration makes possible.
