For families facing a life-threatening illness, time together becomes more valuable than ever.
Theo, a patient at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, is courageously battling Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a highly aggressive and inoperable brain tumor found in children. Between treatments, appointments, and the uncertainty that comes with a diagnosis like this, opportunities to simply be a family can be hard to find.
Through the Gift of Time Together, Theo and his family were able to spend a few days in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, making memories and enjoying precious time together away from the hospital.
One of the highlights of their trip was visiting Dig'N Zone, where Theo had the chance to operate real heavy equipment and experience the thrill of being behind the controls. For a little while, he wasn't focused on treatments or doctor's appointments, he was simply a kid having fun.
The family also enjoyed quality time together exploring the area, sharing meals, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. A beautiful family photoshoot captured those moments, preserving this special time together for years to come.
While we can't change a diagnosis, we can help create moments of joy, connection, and togetherness during some of life's most difficult seasons.
