CarsonStrong Foundation Positively impacting children and their families facing a life-threatening diagnosis After taking part in an experimental protocol at St.

The CarsonStrong Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that enhances the quality of life for children facing cancer and other life challenges by funding programs that provide therapeutic, medical, and educational opportunities. The Higgins family founded the CarsonStrong Foundation in 2017, one year after losing their son and brother to cancer. Carson Higgins was first diagnosed with Stage 4 neur

oblastoma at the age of three. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Carson miraculously exhibited no signs of cancer. On Thanksgiving 2015, the cancer returned. This time, it was terminal. Carson passed away with his family, on their Trip Of A Lifetime, in 2016 at the age of 12. Carson faced adversity with peace and grace. In his short life, he inspired so many to be kind and generous, regardless of the circumstances. He was always “paying it forward”, and it is in this spirit that the CarsonStrong Foundation was formed. Through the CarsonStrong Foundation, the Higgins family and CarsonStrong donors help families and children affected by cancer and other life challenges. They seek to bring comfort and hope to families who are facing the unimaginable, just as family, friends and community members supported the Higgins family in their time of need. The CarsonStrong Foundation relies on individual and corporate donations to pay it forward. With your help, we can bring hope to other families facing difficult and sometimes devastating life challenges. Together, we are .

For families facing a life-threatening illness, time together becomes more valuable than ever.

Theo, a patient at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, is courageously battling Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a highly aggressive and inoperable brain tumor found in children. Between treatments, appointments, and the uncertainty that comes with a diagnosis like this, opportunities to simply be a family can be hard to find.

Through the Gift of Time Together, Theo and his family were able to spend a few days in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, making memories and enjoying precious time together away from the hospital.

One of the highlights of their trip was visiting Dig'N Zone, where Theo had the chance to operate real heavy equipment and experience the thrill of being behind the controls. For a little while, he wasn't focused on treatments or doctor's appointments, he was simply a kid having fun.

The family also enjoyed quality time together exploring the area, sharing meals, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. A beautiful family photoshoot captured those moments, preserving this special time together for years to come.

While we can't change a diagnosis, we can help create moments of joy, connection, and togetherness during some of life's most difficult seasons.

10 years ago today, we received encouraging news—Carson’s tumors had shrunk significantly. It was a day filled with relief and gratitude. We had no idea the news we’d receive one month later or what would follow just two months after that.

Looking back, that day reminds us to celebrate the small victories, to cherish the moments of progress, and to recognize how meaningful those moments can be, even when the road ahead is uncertain.

If you have young kids, you probably know who Danny Go is. His videos have brought so much joy and laughter into homes everywhere.

Today, Daniel Coleman shared that his 14-year-old son passed away after a battle with cancer. Our hearts are with the Coleman family tonight.

Nearly 10 years ago, our family experienced a similar loss when Carson passed away from Neuroblastoma at age 12. It’s a reality far too many families face, including many here in Northeast Ohio.

Through our Gift of Time Together program, we help families facing cancer and other life-threatening illnesses create meaningful time together during difficult seasons.

Tonight, keep the Coleman family in your prayers and hug your kids a little tighter. 💛
