We are a private, nonprofit adoption, foster care and home study agency licensed in the state of Ohio. Founded by former foster care parents in 1995, Caring for Kids, Inc. believes that every child, regardless of gender, race, nationality or special need deserves a family. Over the past decade and a half, we have gained a wealth of knowledge and a true understanding of what is most important to ou

r families. As a child and family-centered agency, our experienced social workers and adoption professionals are dedicated to providing our clients with a wide variety of complete and compassionate services. Ohio Adoptive Agency and Foster Care Agency Services
Based in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio we provide adoptive and foster services which include:
Birth and adoptive parent supportive services
International and domestic home studies
Pre- and post-placement training
Foster care certification

Caring for Kids believes excellent communication is the foundation of every good relationship, therefore we make communication with our clients and their families our highest priority. The Caring for Kids team is available to guide families, answer questions, and offer support before, during, and after the process to adopt or foster. Many of our staff members have personally adopted and/or fostered children, allowing them to provide families with first hand insight. We know your family has many available options when choosing an adoption and/or foster care agency, but we believe that our experience and compassion help us stand out from the rest. Rachel and Maddie are ready to adopt!

"We live in a vibrant, family-friendly community just outside of Cleveland. Our town is known for its strong sense of community, diversity, and community events. We also have an excellent school system that Rachel teaches in! We live in a 3 story home with four bedrooms, three and a half baths, and a beautiful yard. Our home is just a short walk from parks, the Metroparks, shops, restaurants, and neighborhood schools. We share our home with our beloved nine year old dog, Libby. In our city, there are 7 walkable elementary schools, 2 middle schools, and 1 high school (where Rachel works!), 2 public libraries, 15 parks, & 2 public pools, as well as several local festivals including: Arts Festival, Tree Lighting, Summer Events, and Food Festivals."

HOMEMADE: Foster Family Feature 🏡

Foster and Adoptive Parents, Timothy & Megan:
“Over the years we weren’t sure if kids were in the cards for us. As a woman, I never desired the conventional way of having children, but I knew I would make a great mother. Together we decided to look into our options, we took a meeting with CFK and I guess you can say the rest is history. We knew we could be a safe, loving, stable home for the children who don’t have that luxury at this point in their life. Whether it is a temporary safe place or a potentially forever home, we do this because every kid deserves to feel seen and heard in a world that they did not have a choice in. We foster to try and make our little corner of the world a better place. We foster to help children grow into decent humans to hopefully make the world a better place.”

Sometimes making the world a better place starts with simply offering a safe space to grow. Temporary or permanent, every home that opens its door makes a lasting difference in a child’s life.

Every child deserves the feeling of homemade—a place where they are safe, welcomed, and loved.

Right now, over 14,000 children in Ohio are in foster care with not enough foster homes available to take placements.

This month, we’re celebrating foster families who open their hearts and reminding our community that the need for more foster homes is urgent. A homemade meal. A homemade routine. A homemade sense of belonging. These simple things can change a child’s life.

Troy and Jessica are ready to adopt!

"We met at the gym and have been best friends and partners ever since. We both work from home here in Columbus—Troy as a Data Consultant and Jessica as a Travel Advisor—which means we're around for the morning chaos, after-school conversations, and homework help. Troy coaches the kids' sports teams, and we're always there cheering them on. Our family thrives on open communication. We talk about everything, and everyone's voice matters. Faith is also central to how we parent—we're active at our church where Jessica sings in the choir and the kids love the annual Christmas program. We're all about making memories together. Disney World is our happy place, and we love beach vacations and exploring new places. At home, you'll find us having competitive game nights, spontaneous dance parties, or taking trips to the zoo. Laughter and fun are just part of who we are as a family."

"We are a loving, adventurous, and faith-filled family excited to welcome a third child into our hearts and our home. Together for over 11 years, we have built a life centered around family, faith, and showing up for one another. We appreciate the small things in life and strive to live each day with gratitude and unconditional love. We have two sons, Barrett & Briggs, who are eager for another sibling to join their crew! Our children bring joy and adventure to our daily lives and we feel so grateful that God chose us to be their parents. We are fully prepared to embrace this journey with love and openness and are grateful to have the opportunity to grow our family through adoption."
