We’re excited to return to RICHFIELD COMMUNITY DAY on Sunday August 9th, hosted by the Bath-Richfield Kiwanis!

This year, The Heart of Revere will not only be under the big tent with other local organizations — we’ll also serve as special guest judges for the Apple Pie Contest!

How Heart of Revere’s Fundraising Directly Supports Revere Families & Students ❤️ Every family faces challenges from time to time, that’s why Heart of Revere exists—to provide compassionate, no-questions-asked support right here in our Revere Local Schools District community.

Thanks to generous donations, cookbook sales, and community fundraisers, we’re able to:
👉Clothe growing kids with gently used, like-new school clothes, spirit wear, interview outfits, and prom attire—so no student feels left out.
👉Deliver essential household and school supplies directly to families through our Heart Box program.
👉Fund scholarships for deserving Revere High School seniors who embody service and leadership.
👉Help families facing financial hardship access the basics they need to focus on what matters most: their children’s education and well-being.

Here is one of the reasons behind our fundraising efforts!
🎓Scholarship!

The Heart of Revere is proud to award its third annual scholarship, of $1000 to Mario Brienza. Mario, a Revere Local Schools graduate, was one of five applicants. The eligibility criteria for our scholarship, is a commitment of volunteering. Our committee chose Mario for his outstanding leadership, deep commitment to community service, and proven ability to create lasting positive impact from a young age.

Since fifth grade, volunteering has been central to Mario's life. Inspired by the power of community support, and through the guidance of his mentor Kitty Butler, he founded MOM (Mission of Minutemen) the summer after his freshman year. As the organization's leader, he has designed weekly service projects, coordinated with local partners (including The Homeless Charity and Village and Peter Maurin Center), collaborated with Revere school administrators and teachers, and recruited Revere high school mentors to guide groups of 25 fifth graders each year.

Over three years, MOM has engaged 75 fifth graders in meaningful hands-on projects such as assembling toiletry kits and sandwiches for people experiencing homelessness, creating valentines and Thanksgiving messages for nursing home residents and teachers, and participating in Earth Day cleanups. These efforts have not only provided direct aid to the community but have also instilled in young students—and their high school mentors—a strong sense of purpose, empathy, and the joy of giving back.

In addition, Mario has also volunteered with Buddy Up for Life, Inc, serving as a "Buddy" to athletes with Down Syndrome. Through sports like tennis and pickleball, he supports their physical, emotional, and personal growth.

Mario exemplifies the qualities we value most: initiative, organizational leadership, compassion, and a genuine dedication to lifting up others. His work has created a ripple effect of service that benefits both participants and the broader community, making him a truly deserving scholarship recipient.

Mario plans to attend the The Ohio State University in the Fall, and aspires to expand a similar initiative to MOM in the Columbus area, where he can continue to engage in volunteering opportunities —dedicating his time to serving his community as he did during his years at Revere.

Celebrate America 250 Bath Township Parade prep in full swing!

Why? Because we love our community, and this is our way of giving a little love back to a piece of our heart within the community. We also hope to expand our outreach to residents in the district who may not be familiar with our organization and could benefit from a warm introduction to our mission.

We are excited to participate in the 🇺🇸 Celebrate America 250 Bath Township Parade! 🇺🇸 on Saturday, June 6, 2026

We'll have candy, flags and food themed stress toys to hand out to parade spectators (while supplies last), and don't miss us at our tent where we will be offering a 50/50 Raffle!!

🎉 The celebration begins with the community parade at 10:30 AM starting at the corner of W. Bath Rd. and Cleveland Massillon, making its way to Bath Community Park - followed by festivities throughout the day from 10:30 AM – 8:00 PM.

On Saturday, June 6, 2026, come enjoy a full day of family fun, community pride, and patriotic celebration at Bath Community Park as we honor the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence!
