The saying “Find a penny, pick it up, and all day long you’ll have good luck” feels especially fitting today, as pennies are becoming less common in circulation and are no longer being produced.

We were fortunate to see that spirit in action during our third annual Revere Middle School Penny Wars. Nearly $2800 was raised, and every penny will support our organization’s programs, helping students and families access opportunities and resources they might not otherwise have.

We are constantly reminded by our community that we are all in this together and the support by each individual donating to our fundraisers truly makes our work profound.

Special thanks to 🍨Country Maid Ice Cream for donating Ice Cream which was awarded to the top 3 classrooms raising the most pennies during our online battle!

The Heart of Revere is so very lucky to have amazing support from the community, but the support we have from the HEART of our district: THE STAFF FROM EVERY BUILDING, is nothing short of OUTSTANDING!!

We celebrate 4 years of this campaign, and this year’s Jeans Days event raised $120 more than last year. A grand total of $2,695!!! All proceeds help us to give back to the students

The tally and leading building, received recognition last Friday with custom, yummy Jeans Days cookies deliciously made by Christine Modin, a staff member of Revere Local Schhols, and owner/baker of Szabo Royal Bakery, along with a one-of-a-kind bragging rights trophy, made with the help of Revere alumni, Tyler Shamp.

Always a fun battle between buildings, and a unique way to raise funds for our organization! Looking forward to next year - maybe three times a charm for ?!!!!

Now that the students at Revere Middle School ended their 2 week in school positive and negative coin tally, earning donuts this past Monday, and a pizza party next week - it’s now time to reach classroom goals through our online fundraiser!

🍦Each classroom that raises $200+ wins an ice cream party!!!

Proceeds support The Heart of Revere, giving back to the students and families living within Revere Local Schools district!!

Despite false promises made to our organizations regarding the supply of winter coats and boots for our subscribers, we were grateful to partner with 32 Degrees and Mountain Warehouse USA, who assisted our organization in purchasing coats and boots for students at steeply discounted prices, which paired perfect with the hand knit beanies, previously donated to our organization.

💡Obstacles often require strategic thinking to find a solution!

While the U.S. Mint officially stopped producing new pennies, that didn't stop our 3rd Annual Penny War Fundraiser at Revere Middle School.

Check your pockets, peek under your couch cushions, look inside your junk drawer, and the nooks and crannies of your vehicle, in an effort to help Revere Middle School students battle for prizes, while raising funds for Heart of Revere!
