A lot of what calls Crown Point home, you've never actually seen.

Owls, bats, moths, foxes, flying squirrels — the majority animals at Crown Point come out at sunset. Some come to walk the trails every day and still miss most of this animal activity. 🦇🦊🦉🦃

On Sunday, October 18, we go out at dusk instead. Through the prairie and into the forest as the light drops, learning how animals evolved to thrive in the dark while the rest of us were sleeping through it.

This evening walk takes place from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at 3220 Ira Rd., Akron 44333.

Dress for the weather — this time of year, the temperature drops faster than you expect.

If you are planning to walk, please register ahead of time on our website. Each walk is limited to allow for a smaller group size.

We've been planning Fun on the Farm all year, and here's what we have planned so far:

Join us October 3rd for Fun on the Farm: All Abilities Fall Fest from 10AM-4PM where you'll enjoy hayrides, animal feedings, a corn pit, fresh apple c***r pressing, and lawn games across the farm — co****le, ring toss, tic-tac-toe, all of it. All accessible, for everybody.

At 1 PM, head into the Century Barn for a special dance performance by McCartles Dance Studio--You won't want to miss it!

Heads Up Flowers will be onsite all day with their Marigold Dye Pot, where you can create your own one-of-a-kind hand dyed bandana.

Add in local food and drink vendors, basket raffles featuring businesses from around the area, and resources and prizes throughout the day — and that's still not the whole lineup.

Free and open to the public. Advance registration helps us plan for parking, vendors, and games — but no ticket required.

Fun on the Farm: All Abilities Fall Fest is exactly that, for "All Abilities," not just for some, but for all!

On Saturday, October 3, we're hosting our second Fun on the Farm: All Abilities Fall Fest, in partnership with Farming with Friends. That means accessible activities through the farm, sensory-friendly spaces to step away to, and activities built so that no one is standing off to the side watching other people have the good time.

Animals to meet. Gardens to explore. Fall things to do with your hands. 10 AM to 4 PM, come for an hour or stay for six.

If you've ever skipped a fall festival because you weren't sure it would work for your family, this one was built with you in mind. Come find out.
