Roundtable is Continuing Education Training open to ALL Scouts BSA/Venturing/Sea Scouts Leaders and adults!

Join us on Thursday, June 4 for Scouts BSA / Venturing / Sea Scouts Roundtable beginning at 7:00 p.m. LIVE on YouTube Live, with rebroadcasts available immediately afterwards on our council YouTube channel, and now available in podcast form wherever you listen to your favorite podcasts.

We have new information to share with you regarding updates to the reregistration policy and the military fee waiver, as well as new updates announced last month at the National Annual Meeting regarding future unit and member renewals..

Baden-Powell said the Patrol Method isn't just one way to do Scouting, it's the only way! We'll share training on the impact of the Patrol Method and why it's so important to the success of your unit and why it's the essential backbone to our program.

While campouts are the highlight of the Scouting program, it's the weekly troop meetings that hold the unit together! We'll share tips and tricks to make your troop meeting more engaging, and making sure you involve your PLC and youth in the planning process.
There are changes coming to the Sea Scouts advancement program, and we have details for you.

We will also have updates on council activities including upcoming training, and any last-minute Summer Camp updates. Our area professional baseball teams are ready to welcome Scouts to their games, and some will even let you camp out overnight in the outfield. We will have the details on all the area teams who will be holding Scout Nights this summer. Plus, we have dates and details on upcoming Merit Badge Days in the districts and council wide to share.

Finally, we'll have an inspirational story to share of how it is possible to do sports and Scouts, and how it might take your Eagle medal all the way to the NFL.

Visit gtcscouting.org/roundtable for the virtual meeting link and to find archived information on all of our past broadcasts.

See you on the 4th!

Our next Cub Scouts Roundtable is on Thursday, September 3. Look for district program kickoff events happening in-person in each district in August.

Thousands of families in our community are facing food insecurity, and together we can make a real difference. Scouts, families, and friends are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items all month long to help fill the bus and fight hunger right here at home.

Most-needed items include:
🥫 Canned vegetables, fruits, and soups
🥜 Peanut butter & jelly
🍝 Pasta & rice
🥣 Cereal & oatmeal

Every donation—big or small—helps put food on the table for someone in need.

Let’s show what Scouting is all about—service, community, and helping others. Together, we can Stuff the Bus and feed our neighbors!
