The Vision: To bring hope and healing to broken hearts caused by the death of a loved one. Our Mission: To provide a safe place where grievers gather together, under the guidance of a facilitator, to educate, encourage and uplift each other throughout the healing journey. The GriefCare Place is the only non-profit in Summit County exclusively dedicated to helping the bereaved and since 1997, has
served over 4300 grievers from 58 communities in Northeast Ohio. Its sole mission is supporting those grieving a loved one’s death from the acute time of death through the entire grief process. The GriefCare Place’s foundation is volunteer-led, free of charge, peer support groups. Strong, progressive programs are our specialty and foundation. Event Date: September 13, 2011 ~ 6:30-9:00pm

This event is based on the premise that celebrity amateur “Gourmet Guys” will prepare their favorite dishes for our guests and celebrity “Judges” to sample. Awards, of the “tongue in cheek” nature will be given in several categories to the “Gourmet Guys” who have delighted the taste buds of our Judges. A “Peoples’ Choice Award” will be presented to the “Gourmet Guys” who created the favorite dish voted on by our guests. Also, a “Judges’ Choice Award” will be presented to the favorite chef by our Judges. Guests may also tantalize their taste buds with our wine selections.
“Celebrity Gourmet Guys”
We are looking for a few “Gourmet Guys” to unleash their creativity and cook for a great cause! Each “Gourmet Guy” will be asked to purchase, (receipts will be provided for tax purposes), prepare and serve 225 sample sized portions of their culinary creation. “Gourmet Guys " may bring an assistant (male or female) to help with the preparation and serving.
