It's TIME! EVERY Scouter should come to the University of Scouting-- where information is available on sooooo many topics, and is designed to make life better for all of our volunteers.

Registration for courses at the University of Scouting is only $10 this year. For that, you get up to 7 classes, a patch, fellowship, and fun. Join us November 7th at Walsh Jesuit High School. Bring your own lunch, or choose a meal option.

We look forward to having you attend on November 7th, 2026! We'll be back at Walsh Jesuit Highschool and this year we have over 100 courses

Congrats to our former District Chair!

Last week at the April Commissioners meeting, Great Trail Council Commissioner Sherri Buck was presented with the Distinguished Commissioner Award and accepted a resolution from her District and Assistant Council Commissioners in recognition of her service. Sherri is the Council Service Territory 9 Commissioner-Elect and, while moving to the territory, is leaving her council in great shape. (shown with presenters Assistant Council Commissioners, David Rice and Steve Myers, photo credit ACC Vinnie Close.)

You can read about her many accomplishments as listed in the resolution on the Council Commissioner's web page at https://www.gtcscouting.org/resources/commissioners

A reminder that the National Day of Prayer on May 7 (Thursday) is fast approaching. Registration for Scouts Read Sacred Texts Worldwide is going very well and there is still time to participate. Great Trail Council is now in the top 15 councils for participants registered. More info here: https://www.scoutsreadsacredtextsworldwide.org/

Scouts Read Sacred Texts is a worldwide invitation to Scouts designed to inspire them to set aside some time to read a sacred text from their religion.
