On Monday, August 24, the community was invited to join Door2Dreams for its groundbreaking ceremony. The event marked the beginning of construction on the Berard Gathering Lodge and the start of an exciting new phase for the Door2Dreams project.

Founded by parents, professionals, and self-advocates, Door2Dreams, Inc. is a Wisconsin nonprofit dedicated to helping adults with IDD live, work, and thrive. Through its work to expand independent housing options and build stronger community connections, Door2Dreams is creating new opportunities for individuals and families across the region.

Door2Dreams maintains this Special Project fund with the Community Foundation, helping provide additional support as the organization works toward bringing its vision for independent housing to life.

The Berard Gathering Lodge will serve as the first building in an amazing future neighborhood designed to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This groundbreaking represents more than the start of construction; it marks an important step toward creating greater independence, connection, and opportunity within our community.
