Ignite Young Professionals Members and their families participate in committees, networking events, volunteer projects, and leadership training opportunities.

Ignite Young Professionals is a collaborative, energetic group dedicated to personal and professional development for all young and young at heart adults connected to Portage County. Ignite Leadership Network of Portage County (Wisconsin) is a program designed to work with the next generation of community leaders between the ages of 21 and 40 (or the sufficiently young-at-heart) who want to make a difference in their community and beyond. The group's top priority is to develop and encourage philanthropic and community involvement activities while providing peer-to-peer networking and professional development opportunities. Members are educated on key community needs as well as initiatives that work to advance the common good as well as their own professional skills.

IS IGNITE FOR YOU?

Maybe you’re starting your first career.

Maybe you’ve been working for a few years and want to expand your circle.

Maybe you just moved to Portage County.

Maybe you’ve lived here your whole life but want to get more involved.

Maybe you’re looking for professional connections.

Or maybe you just want to meet some awesome people.

Ignite is for young professionals who want to connect with their community and each other.

You don’t have to have the perfect career.

You don’t have to know anyone before you walk through the door.

And you definitely don’t have to be a networking expert.

Just bring yourself. We’ll take it from there.

IGNITE IS MORE THAN NETWORKING.

Yes, you’ll meet new people.

But we’re not here to hand you a name tag, give you a stack of business cards, and send you home.

Ignite is about creating real connections.

It’s learning from a local business leader.

It’s volunteering in your community.

It’s discovering a new favorite local spot.

It’s meeting people who become friends, mentors, coworkers, collaborators, and part of your community.

Professional growth is important. But so is enjoying the journey.

That’s what Ignite is all about.
