The fall semester is underway at the St. Louis Electrical Industry Training Center and we’re honored to share once again that Dustin has the privilege of teaching the Codeology course.

Continuing education is an important part of what sets IBEW electricians apart. Through Codeology and the many other courses offered at the Training Center, our members have the opportunity to continue building their knowledge and skills throughout their careers.

Teaching Codeology provides the opportunity to work alongside fellow IBEW Brothers and Sisters as we study the National Electrical Code and more importantly, how to apply it to real-world situations in the field. It also keeps us engaged with the latest Code requirements and changes that directly affect the work we perform every day.

This commitment to education, training, and continued improvement is one of the reasons IBEW electricians are among the most skilled and qualified electricians in the workforce.

We are grateful for the opportunity to play a small part in continuing that tradition and helping prepare our members to be the absolute best in the business.

On behalf of the Greater St. Louis Chapter of the Electrical Workers Minority Caucus (EWMC), I express our deepest condolences and remorse on the passing of a mother to us all, a visionary leader, President Emeritus, Mother Robbie Sparks.
Robbie was a true giant of the labor and civil rights movements. From marching alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to serving for 28 years as Business Manager and President of IBEW Local 2127, she dedicated her life to civil rights, economic justice, and fair representation for all workers.
As a founding pioneer and long-serving National President of the EWMC, Sister Sparks built the foundation upon which our caucus stands today. Her relentless advocacy led to transformative resolutions within the IBEW, committing our international union to full inclusion, diversity, and leadership opportunities for women and people of color.
To our chapter and to trade unionists across the nation, Robbie was an irreplaceable inspiration. Her courage, mentorship, and belief in the power of solidarity paved the way for generations of electrical workers. The standard she set continues to drive our mission every single day.
Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest solidarity are with her family, loved ones, and the entire IBEW community.
In Solidarity,
Shondra Adams
President, Greater St. Louis EWMC Chapter
