Missouri Jobs with Justice Building transformative power for social, racial, and economic justice in Missouri. Jobs with Justice is action-oriented.

During each year, members and organizations take the Jobs with Justice Pledge to "Be There" at least five times for someone else's fight as well as their own. That means joining picket lines, attending contract rallies and participating in other actions or demonstrations for economic and social justice. Pledgers are mobilized through meetings, phone banks and email alerts.

They showed up everywhere: doors, rallies, town halls, festivals, phone banks. Organizer Debi Pratt says that widespread, human reach is what won Missouri in August 2026, and it's the playbook for the fights ahead. "Whatever we did captivated people," she says, and she's already back at it, registering high schoolers as they walk out the door. The next fight starts with the next conversation!

Missourians saw right through the corruption and tricks. That's why 80% of us voted NO on Amendment 4 in August. Now it’s time for the Missouri Legislature to move onwards for Missourians. No new attacks on the initiative petition process.

Our letter—written and delivered by the community yesterday—calls on the curators at the University of Missouri to invest in their workers. It's shameful that our community's largest employer pays poverty wages! The university refuses to keep up with the cost of living, going so far as to claim that it isn't even relevant to worker compensation. These essential workers deserve $19 an hour!

Here are our community delegations that visited the businesses of University of Missouri Board of Curators members, delivering our letter to Robert Blitz's office in Columbia and to Jeffrey Layman's office in Springfield. Neither curator would meet with the community, but we handed the letter to the administrative staff and ensured it reached the right people.

Mizzou must invest in its community by investing in its workers.

We show up for each other no matter what...
No matter what zip code you live in, what job you have, where you’re from, who you love, or what race you are. Solidarity means we stick together.

Real change doesn't happen from the top down it's built when working people come together to demand fair wages, workplace respect, and community solidarity.

Allow us to reintroduce ourselves: we're Missouri Jobs with Justice, building power every day to win a better life for multiracial working-class families across Missouri.

The rights we celebrate today were won by working people who stood together.

Labor Day was born out of the labor movement—a movement of workers organizing for better wages, shorter hours, safer workplaces, and a voice on the job.

Those victories weren't handed to us.

Working people organized for them. And today, that work continues.

This Labor Day, we honor the workers who came before us, the workers building power today, and everyone fighting for a Missouri where working people can thrive.
Because when working people organize, we win. ✊

Mike Kehoe says he supports children's literacy.

Here's what his statement leaves out: the budget he signed cut Missouri's funding for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library from $6 million to $2 million — a 67% cut.

Because of the reduced funding, Missouri stopped accepting new children into the program July 1. Nearly 170,000 Missouri kids had been receiving a free book every month.

Dolly believed every child deserved books. Missouri families deserve the whole story.
