Your vote is your most powerful tool you have to demand education reform in Missouri.

From the halls of the State Capitol to our local school board rooms, the leaders we choose today will decide the transparency, accountability, and opportunities available to Missouri families. The future of education in Missouri depends on who we elect to lead our state and local communities.

Polls are Open: 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM (If you are in line by 7 PM, you MUST be allowed to vote!)

Where to Vote: Check your local county clerk’s website to find your polling place.

What's at Stake: School board seats, local measures, and state-level leadership that determines the path of education reform.

Ever wish the folks in Jefferson City actually spoke in a way families can understand? Meet Matthew Griese.

Policy can feel like a maze, and Matthew is here to hand you the map. As a fellow parent, he’s lived the same school struggles we all have—and as a powerhouse in the Capitol, he knows exactly how to lobby for the change our kids deserve.

From breaking down complex data for families to helping move policies forward... talk about a man who can do both!

Help us welcome our new Director of Programs & Policy to the team! Drop a “Welcome” in the comments and don’t be a stranger!

Missouri students shouldn’t be trapped in education systems without transparency about how they are performing.

It takes 2 minutes to call your lawmaker before tomorrow’s executive session. Tell them Missouri families need accountability!

Last week, Activate MO’s Lead Rural Community Organizer, Rissa Gray, testified at a Senate hearing to advocate for the proposed A-F school grading plan. Now, it’s your turn to speak up for Missouri families.

Would you eat at a restaurant with an “F” health rating?

Probably not. So why are we okay with Missouri children attending schools without clear accountability and insight about how they are performing?

On March 24, Activate MO took this message to the State Capitol. Our Community Organizer, Rissa Gray, testified before the Senate Education Committee in support of HB 2710—the A-F school grading system bill.

"As a retired teacher, I saw firsthand how families are forced to make major life changes just to find a quality education because they didn't have clear information about school performance," Rissa shared. "An A-F system makes it easy to what schools are doing well and where improvement is needed."

Accountability for school performance is just one piece of the puzzle. Activate MO-Columbia Area also met with 14 State Represenatives and Senators to address another crisis in Missouri's education system: persistent violence in schools. Rhianon will be presenting on school safety to the State School Board this April.

Lawmakers need to hear from more than just lobbyists. They need to hear from the parents and teachers who live this every day. Your story is the most powerful tool we have to pass HB 2710.

Are you ready to join us at the Capitol? Send us a DM or comment 'ACTIVATE' to learn how you can testify at the next hearing.
