Christmas Day was a beautiful time of celebration. Our director from Peru is currently traveling in the United States, visiting friends and family, and had the opportunity to serve on Christmas Day at the Wentzville outreach with Lions Cub in Missouri. Together, they served and prepared hundreds of meals for individuals and families during this special season of celebration.

An Update from the Field ❤️🧥
Recently, we were approached by an organization that rescues children from human trafficking. Due to the sensitive nature of their work, we are unable to share photos or specific details, but we can share this: a few hundred precious children were blessed with brand-new coats!

Moments like these remind us why this mission matters so deeply. Your generosity continues to open doors and hearts in places where hope can feel distant.

If you’d like to be part of this ongoing effort to bless more children in need, you can give through our secure link below:

Our overseas The Coat Project simply wouldn’t be possible without the dedication and heart of our local volunteers.

From our incredible Director of Operations, who keeps every detail running smoothly, to our tireless travel coordinator, to our drivers, friends, brothers, and sisters who spend the day with us distributing hundreds of coats, it truly takes a family to make this happen.

What looks like one day of celebration is actually weeks of planning, teamwork, and sacrifice. The joy on the children’s faces is only possible because of the hands and hearts of those serving right beside us.

We are so grateful for this local team, the true heroes behind the scenes who make sure every coat finds its way into the arms of a child in ne

Two years ago, I spoke with this man about the The Coat Project . He told me, “One day, I’ll join one of the trips.” I looked at him and said, “Not only will you go, but you will be a blessing to my people.”
This week, that day arrived. In Cusco, stood before a local church, speaking words of encouragement that lifted hearts. Then he journeyed into the mountains, where children waited, children who endure cold, who often feel unseen.

As he placed coats on their shoulders at 14000 ft above sea level, he also spoke words of life into their hearts. With every coat, he reminded them: You matter. You are seen. You are important.

A man from the Midwest crossed continents, and in doing so, became the answer to prayers in the Andes. What began as a simple “one day” became a powerful testimony that God’s timing is always perfect. Olivia Anderson you are next!

Kahla Stygar heard the call and didn’t ignore it. A woman chose to do something extraordinary. She left behind what was familiar and journeyed high into the Peruvian mountains, where hundreds of children waited.
With every word she spoke, she reminded them of their worth: “You matter. Your life is precious. You are not forgotten.” And with every embrace, she gave them something even deeper, the power of a hug. A hug that said, “You are matter. You are loved. You belong.”

That kind of passion isn’t just inspiring, it’s contagious. It shows us what happens when someone says “yes” to God’s whisper. One woman’s extraordinary obedience, and the warmth of her arms, can ignite hope in an entire community, planting seeds that will grow for generations.

Obedience. Passion. The power of a hug. That’s the heartbeat of missions.

At 18 years old, you don’t have to have life all figured out. What matters most is obedience, the kind that listens to the Great Commandment: love God, and love others.
That’s what this young man, Sam Mahurin chose to do. Instead of waiting until everything made sense, he stepped out in faith, traveling to the mountains of Peru. There, he stood before hundreds of children and told them the most important truth they could ever hear: “Jesus loves you, and we love you too.”
Sometimes following Jesus isn’t about a perfect plan. It’s about saying yes. Yes to loving. Yes to serving. Yes to going where He leads. And when you do, life becomes a journey far greater than anything you could design yourself. 🌎❤️✝️
We are proud of you! s

Mark Sida is in Perú with a wonderful team from El Paso, TX. This is Mark’s second time traveling with the The Coat Project . His generous spirit and love for others make him a true carrier of good news.
Mark is reminding the kids in the highlands of Perú that they matter, that the world sees them, and that they have an amazing future ahead. Most importantly, he’s sharing with them that Jesus loves them.
Do you want to be part of this movement and tell kids around the world that they matter? Join us on one of our adventure trips!

Today, Greg McGhee is carrying more than coats.
Inside that bag is hope, and a message that has the power to change a life:
✨ You matter.
✨ You are loved.
✨ People around the world care about you.
✨ You are called to be extraordinary.
We believe the deepest hope comes through the love of Jesus, and that is the message we share. At the same time, this mission is about showing kindness, dignity, and compassion to every child we meet, reminding them that they are not forgotten.
Together, we can wrap children not only in coats but also in hope that crosses borders and speaks to the heart.
Will you partner with us to spread this love and hope to hundreds of kid
