Tina Meier founded the Megan Meier Foundation in memory of her daughter, Megan Taylor Meier, who took her own life after receiving cruel messages on MySpace from a boy name "Josh Evans". Six weeks after Megan's death, it was learned that "Josh" never existed - it was the fictitious creation of a neighbor. Our hope is to make a difference through spreading Megan’s story along with educating others

on the devastating consequences of bullying and cyberbullying and helping children cope with these negative social issues. Ultimately, empowering children to stand up for one another is crucial as we know that peer to peer relations are extremely important.

Bullying is about power. It is never about your worth.

No matter what someone targeted you for — how you look, how you speak, who you are, who you love — the cruelty says everything about them and nothing about your value.

Look at that crowd.

That's what 4,300 people looks like.

A new study published in JAMA found that su***de deaths among young people ages 15 to 34 dropped 11% in the 2.5 years following the launch of the 988 Su***de and Crisis Lifeline. An estimated 4,300 fewer deaths than projected.

In states where 988 awareness and call volume were highest, that number jumped to an 18% decline.

Think about what that means. Awareness campaigns. Crisis lines. People sharing a phone number. It is saving lives.

This is why the Megan Meier Foundation keeps talking about mental health resources, even when it feels uncomfortable. Even when people scroll past. Even when it seems like one post couldn't possibly matter.

Because somewhere in that crowd is a person who called. And they are here because someone made sure they knew the number.

If you or someone you love is struggling, please reach out.

📞 Call or text 988. Free. Confidential. 24/7.

And if this post reaches even one person who needs it today, share it. 💙

Nobody feels confident all the time. And that’s not the goal.

Confidence comes and goes. Some days you feel sure of yourself, and other days you question everything, compare yourself to others, or feel like you’re falling short. That doesn’t mean something is wrong with you. It means you’re human.

Self-esteem is not about feeling amazing every second. It’s about knowing your worth does not disappear on the days confidence feels far away.

This National Teen Self-Esteem Month, let’s remind teens that they are still worthy, still capable, and still enough.

What you see online isn’t always the full story.

A smiling photo, a funny post, good grades, big wins, or “I’m fine” can hide a lot more than people realize. Social media can show a moment, but it doesn’t always show the stress, pressure, loneliness, or pain someone may be carrying behind the scenes.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, let’s look beyond appearances, check in with care, and make space for honest conversations.

Because connection is powerful, and sometimes simply noticing, listening, and being there can make all the difference.

On Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the service members who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

We are grateful for their courage and mindful of the loss carried by their families, friends, and communities. Today, and every day, we remember those who gave their lives in service.

You don’t need a special reason to encourage someone.

You don’t need a big speech, perfect timing, or some dramatic movie-scene moment.

Sometimes, building someone up sounds like:

“You’re really good at that.”

“I’m glad you’re here.”

“I noticed how hard you’re trying.”

“You make things better.”

“I’m proud of you.”

For teens, those words can matter more than we realize.

They can become part of the way someone sees themselves, especially on the days they’re questioning their worth.

This National Teen Self-Esteem Month, let’s be intentional with our words.

Build someone up today.

No reason needed.

Rest is not laziness. Boundaries are not selfishness. Asking for help is not weakness.

Too often, people are made to feel like their needs are something to apologize for. That needing rest means they are lazy. That setting boundaries means they are difficult. That asking for help means they are weak.

But none of that is true.

Rest helps us recover. Boundaries help protect our well-being. Asking for help is one of the bravest things a person can do.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, let’s choose words that make room for honesty, support, and healing.

On International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia, we stand for kindness, inclusion, and respect.

No one should be bullied, excluded, or made to feel unsafe because of who they are. Creating a kinder world means challenging hate, leading with compassion, and making sure young people know they are worthy of dignity, support, and belonging.

Everyone deserves to feel safe being themselves.

The way teens talk to themselves matters more than we may realize.

That inner voice can become a place of encouragement, or it can become one more place where they feel judged, compared, or not enough.

And that voice doesn’t come from nowhere.

It can be shaped by repeated messages, online pressure, bullying, comparison, mistakes, expectations, and the way others speak to them.

Helping teens build self-esteem isn’t about teaching them to ignore hard feelings or pretend everything is perfect.

It’s about helping them challenge the thoughts that tell them they’re not worthy, capable, or enough.

This National Teen Self-Esteem Month, let’s help teens build an inner voice that sounds less like criticism and more like compassion.
