🦁👀 Helping Little Eyes See a Brighter Future! ❤️

Check out a few members of our Saint Charles Vision Team who teamed up with KidSight to help identify potential vision issues in children throughout our community!

This amazing group volunteers their time visiting local schools to provide vision screenings for children. These screenings play an important role in identifying potential vision problems at an early age, especially when children may not even realize they’re having trouble seeing!

Early detection can make a world of difference in a child’s learning, development, and future success. ❤️

We are so proud of our Lions who dedicate their time to making a difference, one child and one vision screening at a time!

This is what being a Lion is all about — WE SERVE! 🦁💛

💚🦁 Lions showing up for a cause that hits close to home!
Our First Capitol Lions are out representing today and helping raise funds for Duchenne muscular dystrophy through Drive for Duchenne.
This cause is especially meaningful to our club, as the son of one of our very own Lions is living with Duchenne. When something impacts one of our Lions families, it impacts all of us — and we’re proud to stand beside them and help support the fight for better treatments, research, and ultimately a cure.
We’re proud of our Lions for getting out there, giving back, and supporting an incredible cause.

🇩🇪🍻 WHAT A WEEKEND! 🍻🇩🇪

As we wrap up another incredible Saint Charles Oktoberfest, the First Capitol Lions Club wants to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this year such a success!

It truly takes a village to pull off an event of this size, and we are incredibly grateful for the hundreds of volunteers, Lions members, family members, friends and community supporters who gave their time, energy and hard work throughout the weekend. ❤️

Whether you worked a shift, poured a b**r, moved supplies, helped behind the scenes, showed up early, stayed late or simply stepped in wherever you were needed — YOU helped make this weekend happen.

A very special thank you to the entire Saint Charles Oktoberfest Committee for putting together another outstanding event. The countless hours of planning and work that happen long before the gates ever open don't go unnoticed. Congratulations on an amazing 40th Saint Charles Oktoberfest! 🇩🇪

And finally, thank you to everyone who came out and supported the festival. Events like this are about so much more than one weekend of fun — they provide opportunities for organizations like ours and so many others to raise funds that go right back into serving our community.

🦁 Another great night of community and connection at our First Capitol Lions Club meeting!

We were fortunate to welcome some wonderful guests and speakers, including Dawn Tucker with Stella's Wish Foundation and Julie, LeeAnn and Kindra from Serve St. Charles.

💫 Stella’s Wish Foundation has an incredible mission of granting wishes to adults diagnosed with Stage 4, life-threatening cancer — creating special experiences and memories for individuals and their families during an incredibly difficult time. www.stellaswish.org

❤️ Serve St. Charles is a local nonprofit made up of volunteers who serve children, families, and individuals throughout St. Charles County. Their projects are focused on making a direct and lasting impact for people right here in our own community and a large part of that is through their annual Christmas Store. www.servestcharles.com

One of our favorite parts of being Lions is hearing about what other organizations are doing throughout our community. We don't all have to do the same work to make a difference — we can support one another, work together, and help connect people with resources when there is a need.

Thank you to Dawn and the ladies from Serve St. Charles for joining us and sharing your missions with our club. We love learning about the great work happening around us and finding more ways to live out our motto:

🦁 Lions doing what Lions do—showing up and serving! 💙

This weekend, the First Capitol Lions were proud to show our support at the VisionWalk, benefiting the Foundation Fighting Blindness. By supporting this cause, we’re helping advance research and treatments for blinding retinal diseases and working toward a future with more hope and more sight. 👁️💙
