AIC Athletics is off to a strong start in 2026, with Yellow Jackets teams posting a .620 winning percentage through their first 60 fall contests.

American International College alumni are making moves at Springfield City Hall!

We’re celebrating William “Bill” Baker and Rose McCaffrey on their new leadership roles with the City of Springfield.

Bill has been appointed Human Resources Director after more than a decade serving in Mayor Domenic Sarno’s administration. Rose has been promoted to Communications Director after serving as Deputy Communications Director.

Both have strong AIC connections. Bill earned his master's degree in Public Administration from AIC, while Rose graduated with a triple major in Political Science, Public Relations, and Media Communications. Her path to City Hall began with an internship in the mayor’s office while she was an AIC student.

We love seeing our alumni put their education and experience to work right here in our community.

Sophomore nursing students recently picked up their ATI study guides that they’ll use these resources throughout their three years at the AIC Division of Nursing, including senior year as they prepare for the NCLEX licensure exam 📚🩺

Class of 2026 AIC Athletics Hall of Famer Dana Watts ’19 delivered a message to our current women’s basketball team ahead of their new season 🏀

Watts dominated the hardwood in a record-setting four-year career with the AIC women’s basketball team. The third-leading scorer on a 26-6 NCAA Tournament team as a freshman in 2015-16, Watts elevated her game over the next three seasons, earning First-Team All-Conference honors and leading the NE10 in scoring each year while helping AIC make two additional NCAA Tournament appearances. In each season, she was additionally named a WBCA All-American, including a First-Team honor in 2018-19 to go with NE10 Player of the Year and the F.J. Maloney Award at AIC.

Ahead of tonight’s big game against Bentley, Class of 2026 AIC Athletics Hall of Famer Jana Potic ‘20, MBA ‘23 delivered a message to our current women’s volleyball team 🏐

”Give your heart, give your soul, listen to the coach. Trust the people around you.”

Potic’s 1,498 kills and 1,745 points rank third in AIC history, and she is one of just three players in the 1,000 kills-1,000 digs club at AIC. She helped lead AIC to three straight NCAA East Region Finals appearances, including the program’s first two East Region championships in 2016 and 2018. She also ranks seventh in AIC history with 145 aces and 171 block assists.

Class of 2026 AIC Athletics Hall of Famer Jill di Monda ’91 delivered a message to our current softball team 🥎

“ If you prepare and you practice and practice perfect, there’s no situation that you can’t handle when you’re in the game and that’s how you become a winner.”

At the plate, she mashed to the tune of 187 hits, including 40 for extra bases, and drove in 92 runs. Her best hitting season came in 1990, when she smacked 12 doubles and eight triples, leading the NE10 in both categories. In the circle, she earned 64 wins and struck out 330 batters while posting a sparkling 1.43 earned-run average in 581.1 innings of work. Her 64 wins set an AIC record at the time and still rank second in team history.

Class of 2026 AIC Athletics Hall of Famer Pat Brennan ’96 delivered a message to our current soccer and lacrosse team ⚽️🥍

Brennan dominated the then-John Homer Miller Field in not one but two sports, excelling as a soccer player as well as a member of the men’s lacrosse program during its inaugural seasons. In soccer, he played goalkeeper and was a veritable wall. He ranks ninth in NE10 history with an incredible 431 saves. For the fledgling lacrosse program, he was an instant star, earning multiple All-Conference honors as a brilliant two-way player.

“My experience at AIC with my friends and just everyday life just kind of blew it away. It was the best time I’d ever had.”
