FPCA is the oldest civic association in the city (1964) Forest Park neighborhood has 6 public schools (Kensington, Washington, White Street, Sumner Avenue, Beal Elementary, and Forest Park Middle School), a public library, the largest park in Springfield, a golf course, and many businesses and organizations.
