Chess In The Parks - Springfield Mass "Our Goal is to help empower the community through developing analytical and rational thinking through Chess." Plus, IT’S FUN!

We are not expert chess players or Grandmasters and this is not a “Chess League”. What we are is a small group of volunteers ready to teach beginner Chess to anyone in the community who wants to learn. Chess in The Parks aims to work with the local civic associations and neighborhood councils throughout the city of Springfield, Mass to schedule FREE events in neighborhood parks. Chess is known to increase different aspects of intelligence, cognitive abilities, memory, and recall. An empowered mind is one of the best tools a person can have to help them succeed at their goals. We believe that through learning and playing the ancient game of Chess that you will think better, more clearly, and faster. Are you interested in co-hosting an event in your neighborhood?
