What makes Headington Hill Classical Academy special?✨

We could tell you, but we’d rather let our community share it in their own words. ❤️

From teachers who invest in students each day to parents who have experienced the difference firsthand, these reflections capture the heart of our school and our commitment to goodness, truth, and beauty.

As a hybrid classical school, Headington Hill partners with families in a unique way-equipping and supporting parents while providing students with excellent instruction, caring educators, and a dedicated guide who walks alongside them throughout their educational journey.

Summer has arrived in the Ozarks, school books are tucked away for the season, and it’s the perfect time to slow down and enjoy simple family adventures. 🍓☀️

One of the sweetest traditions this time of year is strawberry picking. The fields are full of bright red berries ready to be gathered, and there’s nothing quite like eating a sun-ripened strawberry fresh from the vine with your family beside you.

Strawberry season doesn’t last long, so now is the time to make memories before the fields begin to close for the year. Whether you have little ones eager to fill a basket or older students who love an afternoon outdoors, berry picking is a wonderful summer outing for all ages.

For book lovers and families alike, The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear makes the perfect companion read before heading to the berry patch. 📚🍓

Here are a few favorite U-pick strawberry farms near Springfield, Missouri:

🍓 Burns Bodacious Berries — Ozark
🍓 Swiss Berry Patch — Republic
🍓 Tasty Acres Strawberries — Springfield
🍓 Riverdale Berry Farm — Nixa
🍓 Missouri Berries — Republic
🍓 Browns Berry Farm — Miller
🍓 High’s Berry Farm — Ozark
🍓 Gardener’s Orchard — Brighton

Last Day Glow ✨☀️

What a beautiful way to close out another incredible year at Headington Hill Classical Academy. From classroom moments to playground memories, this year was filled with growth, friendship, laughter, and so much joy.

We finished strong with a Field Day full of water fun, laughter, a Chick-fil-A lunch from Chick-fil-A, and ice cream donated by Culver’s -the perfect way to celebrate the last day together. ☀️💛

This community made every moment meaningful, and we couldn’t have imagined a sweeter way to finish the year.

Here’s to a wonderful school year and an even brighter summer ahead! 🌼

As we draw close to the end of the school year, moments like these remind us what makes our classroom community so special. 💙

Yesterday, students took time to encourage one another by writing thoughtful compliments about their classmates’ character, strengths, and abilities. The positivity and kindness shared throughout the room were a beautiful reflection of the culture being built in science class.

Mrs. Elam also recognized students for their outstanding contributions and hard work with a special science class award! 🧪🏆 Her intentional investment in students—not only academically, but personally—continues to make a lasting impact.

Encouragement and hard work truly go hand in hand. Keep shining, scientists! ✨

✨Reminder✨
Last Day of School + Field Day is Wednesday! ☀️💦

It’s a HALF DAY (9 AM–12 PM) packed with games, water fun, and frozen custard! Students can wear athletic clothes & sturdy shoes that can get wet. Don’t forget a water bottle!

Families are invited to stay after Field Day for an optional picnic lunch. 🧺

We can’t wait to celebrate an amazing school year together! ❤️

This Mother’s Day, we give thanks for the mothers who model wisdom, grace, perseverance, and faith to their children every day.

Your work is sacred, formative, and deeply valued within our school community.

If it is the last week of school at Headington Hill Classical Academy…

you start to notice things differently.

The halls grow a little quieter in some places,
and a little more alive in others-
filled with laughter that seems to gather everything the year has been,
and conversations that feel like they’ve been unfolding for months.

And in that noticing, you might think about truth.

Not just the kind found in answers or exams,
but the deeper kind-
formed through steady work, honest effort,
and the slow learning of how to think more clearly than before.

And when truth begins to settle in,
you start to see goodness.

In patience offered without announcement.
In help given freely between students.
In teachers who keep explaining, guiding, and caring-
long after it would have been easier to stop.

And when goodness is present,
beauty follows quietly behind it.

In sunlight across worn desks.
In familiar routines now held with affection.
In the simple weight of a year well lived together.

And so the last week of school is not only an ending-

it is the quiet harvest of a year:
what was sought in truth, shaped by goodness,
and made visible in beauty-
now gathered, remembered, and gently carried into what comes next.

This week is the last week of school at Headington Hill Classical Academy, and it has been an honor to be in community with you.

See you on Monday!✨

Yesterday was Bear Day in our first grade classroom at Headington Hill Classical Academy! 🐻📚

Students brought their favorite teddy bears, enjoyed bear-themed books, and took part in a variety of fun, hands-on activities inspired by our furry friends. From storytelling to creative play, it was a day full of learning, laughter, and lots of “beary” special moments.

We love seeing our students so engaged and excited-what a wonderful day in first grade!

🍎✨ Teacher Appreciation Week ✨🍎

At Headington Hill Classical Academy, we don’t take it for granted—we’re blessed with the best teachers.

Invested. Relational. Guides.
They show up with purpose, shaping minds, building character, and walking alongside students in both learning and life.

This week, we pause to say thank you. Your dedication doesn’t just educate—it transforms.

If families would like to take part in showing appreciation, a simple handwritten note or small gift card can be a thoughtful way to encourage our teachers this week.
