As we roll into the final week of January, this weeks focus during is survivorship & cancer prevention in action. This sheet provides some tips on how to be supportive to a brother or sister who has been diagnosed with cancer.

40,000 smoke alarms have been distributed to Illinois fire departments since 2018 when the Be Alarmed! Smoke Alarm Installation Program began! In 2024, 8,677 smoke alarms were installed in homes across Illinois. There are 320 active fire departments in 61 counties participation. This is a joint program between the OSFM and Camp I Am Me by Illinois Fire Safety Alliance.
