Fact Friday…. Did you know that the Council for Economic Education’s 2026 survey found that 39 states require a personal finance course for high school graduation.

Illinois is 1 of the 39 states. Here in Illinois, students are required to learn consumer education. Made Wright builds on that foundation by helping youth practice money skills through entrepreneurship, career preparation, and college planning.

What are we up to Wednesday!!!

Made Wright’s Bud to Flower program brought youth and seniors together at The Avenues at Springfield senior living facility for a wonderful time of fellowship and fun!

We played garden bingo, planted basil, and painted flower pots while sharing conversations, laughter, and creativity. It was a beautiful opportunity for different generations to connect and enjoy one another’s company.

Thank you to The Avenues at Springfield for welcoming us. Together, we’re growing plants and connections!

Mission Monday: A college plan starts with knowing your options.

College and Me is a pathway within The WRIGHT Track that helps youth explore higher education and prepare for it. Students learn about college options, admissions, scholarships, financial aid, campus life, and academic expectations. They also take steps toward creating a college plan of their own.

Understanding how to plan and pay for education can make a big difference in a young person’s future. We want youth to have the information and confidence to make choices that fit their goals.

Made Wright’s Cash Cares Project made a donation to Jefferson Middle School to provide clothing and shoes for youth, helping remove barriers to school attendance so students can show up feeling comfortable, confident, and ready to learn.

This day holds a special place in our hearts as we mark one year since we lost Cash. We miss him dearly, and his legacy continues to live on through acts of kindness and care for others.

Through the Cash Cares Project, we honor his memory by supporting youth and spreading kindness throughout the world. Every act of giving carries his legacy forward.

What’s New Wednesday at Made Wright! 💛

We’re introducing SIS, Sisters Inspiring Sisters, a girl-led peer mentoring program within MADE Mentoring.

SIS creates a positive sister circle where girls can encourage one another, build confidence, practice leadership, and develop meaningful friendships. Having a place to feel heard and supported matters. We want every girl in SIS to discover her voice and see the possibilities ahead of her.

Mission Monday: Helping youth prepare for what comes next.

The WRIGHT Track is about giving young people real skills and real opportunities. One of its three pathways, SKILLS, helps youth explore careers and prepare for the workforce.

Through SKILLS, students practice resume building, interviewing, workplace communication, teamwork, leadership, and professionalism. These are practical steps toward earning an income and building a future they choose.

Financial literacy includes preparing youth to navigate the opportunities ahead of them. At Made Wright, we want them to feel ready to take that next step.
