We’re excited to welcome a few new members to our Board of Directors!

First, a familiar face returns! Chris Mitchell, Vice President of Legal, EHS, and Compliance at George's, Inc, is a longtime supporter of CASA – serving previously as a Board member and Board President. When Chris’s last term ended, we knew he wouldn’t be gone for long. Chris continued to support CASA of NWA and when a seat on the board opened, he just couldn’t resist the opportunity to join us again. Chris’s passion for our CASA kids, volunteers, and staff is contagious. We are so excited for him to be back in action.

Second, a well-rounded veteran signs on! Audrey Laughlin, a CPA and Assurance Director at PwC, began her journey with CASA in 2010 as an intern. In 2017, following completion of her internship, Audrey joined us as a CASA volunteer and has supported 14 children during her time. She has also served faithfully as a Table Captain, helped secure corporate sponsorships on the Light of Hope committee, and even brought a team of coworkers together to teach time management skills at an older youth Independent Life Skills class. Audrey’s commitment to CASA of NWA is unmatched – we’re looking forward to seeing her shine in her role as a member of the board!

And finally, a new name joins the ranks! Chris Moore, an Account Manager with Google Cloud, first connected with CASA’s mission in 2023 when he attended our Light of Hope luncheon. The following year, Chris became a Light of Hope Table Captain and brought Google Cloud as a Light of Hope sponsor. Since then, Chris has attended various CASA events, always with a warm, friendly smile, and we’ve enjoyed getting to know him more. With his professional experience and care for our CASA kids, Chris brings a lot to the table!

💜 Empowering the next generation, one opportunity at a time!

Last night, our Dress for Success Northwest Arkansas team had the honor of leading an interactive workshop for the Independent Living Class at CASA of Northwest Arkansas CASA of Northwest Arkansas

If you’re unfamiliar with CASA, this incredible organization advocates for children and youth in the foster care system, helping ensure their voices are heard and their needs are met as they navigate challenging circumstances.

During our workshop, we connected with teens to explore what entering the workforce might look like, from landing their very first job to understanding workplace expectations, building confidence, and discovering their unique strengths.

We believe career readiness starts long before someone fills out their first application. It starts with helping young people recognize their potential and imagine what’s possible for their futures. 💜

We’re grateful for community partners like CASA who are investing in the next generation and allowing us to be part of that journey!
