Onyx Springdale transforms a mid-century modern bank into a multi-use café, chocolate shop and coworking space while honoring the building's original character. The design features custom glass block elements, restored terrazzo floors and walnut accents.

"This is a substantial yet refined space, fitting for Onyx's standing in the U.S. specialty coffee world," the jury said. "They respected the mid-century bank building's solid materiality while bringing in modern functionality through the glass block interventions."

🎓 Congratulations to the graduates of the Junior Leadership Class of 2026 🎓

Yesterday, we celebrated the graduation of our Junior Leadership students as they officially completed a year of growth, learning and leadership development.

Over the past year, these 9th-grade students built confidence, strengthened their communication and collaboration skills and gained valuable insight into the people, places, and opportunities that shape our region. From classroom discussions to business tours and industry and community site visits, they embraced each experience with curiosity and purpose.

One of the highlights of their time was their service project supporting Treehouse Pantry which gave students a hands-on opportunity to demonstrate the servant leadership, compassion and civic responsibility they’ve developed throughout the program while making a meaningful impact in the Springdale community.

Let's celebrate their hard work this year and their bright futures ahead!
