Producing Generations
of Leaders to be Successful
Diversity & Equity -
HQA Spring strives to promote equity and diversity throughout our school. We believe students and teachers must seek to understand people with different experiences & backgrounds. An important part of promoting equity and diversity is setting norms in the school that promote inclusion and openness: Teaching students how to di
sagree respectfully. Use Restorative Practices and promote self-awareness, self-management, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. HQA Spring creates class norms together with our students to give students ownership over their community. We are explicit about the way students in our school will be respectful to each other; and share ideas, opinions, and values. Being one of the most diversified schools, it is imperative we incorporate such tactics in our daily learning environment. After all, HQA Spring’s mission is to develop practicing faith-based leaders who are lifelong learners that serve their diverse community and global society as respectful citizens. Our campus -
Our campus sits on over 9 acres of land and approximately 60,000 SQ FT of buildings. In these buildings, we hold a curriculum for early childhood all the way to 9th grade. The school has 27 classrooms, an outdoor playground, multiple basketball courts, a soccer field, and an indoor gym. Each year we are striving for expansion and more construction. HQA also has an amazing team along with some of the most qualified educators in the country. We pride ourselves on continuous staff development programs for all teachers and continuous training throughout the year. Guiding Principles
Brighter Horizons Academy follows a standards-based US curricular program designed to prepare students for post-secondary education as well as Islamic Education. HQA -Houston’s admission process and criteria aim at considering each applicant holistically. Our decisions are based on the evaluation of the applicant’s values, character, academics, behavior, self-motivation, and citizenship. Before filling out our online application, please make sure to read through all of the instructions. We also strongly encourage you to attend one of our admissions events. Admission Policy
In the admissions process, decisions are made with care to ensure all students offered admission to HQA Spring have the potential to be successful at our school, both in and out of the classroom. As a result, in addition to a history of academic success (report cards, testing, and certificates of achievements), we look for the applicant’s values, character, academics, behavior, self-motivation, and citizenship. Together, these items help us paint a picture of each applicant. School Year and Grade Level Policy
