๐Ÿ”ฅ 105+ students. One night. Zero fights. Countless memories.

Our 2nd Annual ABF End-of-School Lock-In at Big Air was everything we hoped it would be and more. ๐Ÿ€๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ™Œ

This wasnโ€™t just a celebrationโ€”it was an opportunity for young people to build relationships, connect with mentors, meet new friends, set goals, and create memories in a safe, positive environment.

What makes ABF different is that we donโ€™t just keep kids busyโ€”we intentionally create experiences that build confidence, accountability, leadership, and community. ๐Ÿ’™

The best part? Hearing directly from our youth about what ABF means to them and why events like this matter. Their voices are the reason we do this work every day.

Take a look inside the night and see why this has become one of our signature events. ๐Ÿš€

๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ This post is dedicated to Stop the Violence Coalition and everyone who helped make this past weekend one to remember! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพโœจ

From ๐ŸŽ‰ Teen Night Out at C.C. One of the most powerful moments of the weekend was standing together at the courthouse as Mayor Jerome Rice officially proclaimed June 5th as National Gun Violence Awareness Day in the City of Spartanburg. ๐Ÿ“œ๐Ÿ›๏ธ๐Ÿงก That moment represented hope, unity, awareness, and a shared commitment to protecting our youth and strengthening our community. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿพโค๏ธ

Parents, hereโ€™s the realityโ€ฆ

๐Ÿ’ฐ Taking your child to Big Air on your own can easily cost more than attending with ABF when you factor in:
โœ… Jump Time
โœ… Late Night Entertainment
โœ… Supervision
โœ… Activities
โœ… Food & Drinks
โœ… An Entire Night of Fun

For just $25, your child gets an unforgettable overnight experience surrounded by positive mentors and great friends! ๐Ÿ™Œ

But this is bigger than jumpingโ€ฆ

At ABF, we donโ€™t just watch kids. โค๏ธ

๐Ÿ’ฏ We build relationships.
๐Ÿ’ฏ We encourage leadership.
๐Ÿ’ฏ We challenge students to make positive choices.
๐Ÿ’ฏ We help young people build confidence.
๐Ÿ’ฏ We create moments theyโ€™ll remember long after the night is over.

Our mentors will be there all night connecting with students, laughing with them, encouraging them, and helping them understand that being a great person matters both on and off the trampoline. ๐Ÿ†

Today is a big moment for . ๐Ÿ’™

ABF officially completed the Nonprofit Capacity Bootcamp through the Spartanburg County Foundation and received our certificate of completion. This wasnโ€™t just a class โ€” it was training focused on helping organizations build stronger systems, stronger leadership, better structure, and greater capacity to serve MORE people effectively.

To our youth: this means we are preparing ourselves to grow the RIGHT way. It means ABF is learning how to handle bigger opportunities, stronger partnerships, more programs, more impact, and more responsibility while continuing to serve our community with excellence.

And culturally, we need to normalize celebrating each other. Too often people compare, compete, criticize, or project their own ideas onto someone elseโ€™s vision instead of simply celebrating the win. Somebody else succeeding does not take anything away from you. We can clap for each other AND grow at the same time.

So today, celebrate with us. ๐ŸŽ‰
This is a win for every student, every mentor, every parent, every supporter, and every person who believes in what we are building.

Drop some ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ emojis in the comments and help us celebrate this milestone because ABF is growingโ€ฆ and weโ€™re just getting started.

This Memorial Day, while many people were relaxing, the team at Plugged-In Barbershop chose to serve. ๐Ÿ’ˆโค๏ธ

Today, they spent their holiday at Soup Kitchen giving back to the community through free haircuts, conversations, encouragement, and love. For many people, a haircut is more than just a cut โ€” itโ€™s confidence, dignity, a fresh start, and a reminder that somebody cares.

At The Allen Blash Foundation, we always talk about exposure, service, leadership, and showing up for peopleโ€ฆ and today these brothers did exactly that.

This is what community looks like.
This is what brotherhood looks like.
This is what impact looks like.

๐ŸŽฅ In this video, youโ€™ll hear directly from the barbers themselves about what they gained from this experience and why serving others matters to them.

Please show love to these men for using their gifts to uplift others on a day meant to honor sacrifice and service. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพโœ‚๏ธ

FLASHBACK FRIDAY ๐Ÿ’ˆ๐Ÿ”ฅ

One thing weโ€™re always gonna teach our young kings at ABF is this: how you present yourself matters. Looking clean, smelling good, keeping yourself groomed, and carrying yourself with confidence can open doors before you even say a word.

First impressions matter with jobs, opportunities, professional settings, and yesโ€ฆ even with the ladies ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ’ฏ

Thatโ€™s why we brought the barbers into our After-School Inspiring Minds program at Spartanburg Prep. The fellas learned about self-care, hygiene, keeping their hair fresh between cuts, using sponges properly, confidence, presentation, and taking pride in themselves.

Sometimes mentorship looks like life talks.
Sometimes it looks like teaching young men how to level up.

Because when you look good, you feel goodโ€ฆ and when you feel good, you move different. ๐Ÿง โšก๏ธ
