We're thrilled to announce that thanks to the generous support of The Pokagon Fund, we've officially doubled our team of trained HALO Program facilitators from 3 to 6!!

This milestone means something huge for the families we serve: for the first time ever, we will run two HALO cohorts in the same year. Our next cohort kicks off August 24th, bringing trauma-informed, relationship-based support to even more children and caregivers right here in our community.

HALO is a 10-week intensive program rooted in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), designed to help children who've experienced trauma and the caregivers who love them, build trust, connection, and healing together.

Our next TBRI Foundational Training will be on August 3rd in South Bend. This training gives a broad overview of TBRI and covers each of the three main principles. It is geared towards teachers, social workers, caregivers, and anyone who works with kids in any capacity.

"We walked into HALO hoping to find the tools to "fix" our child but instead are walking away with a deeper understanding that we were the ones that needed to adjust our parenting strategies to connect with them and build a stronger connection to set them up for success.

We highly recommend this training to all parents. It grew our empathy toward our child and helped us to see how we can best meet their needs. We are also intentional about using the tools we learned with our biological children."
