From Club kid to software engineer!

During a recent virtual Career Day, one of our former Club kids shared her journey from first discovering coding at the Club to building a career as a software engineer for IBM. But the impact of her Club experience goes beyond career skills. She also built lifelong friendships with peers, mentors, and staff who helped make the Club feel like home.

Her story is a powerful reminder that the connections, opportunities, and skills young people gain at the Club can stay with them for a lifetime. We’re proud to see our alumni thriving and inspiring the next generation to dream big!

Big thanks to Notre Dame Women's Soccer for coming out to the OC Carmichael Jr. Youth Center this week! ☘️⚽️

They spent time talking with our K–2nd graders about life as a college athlete, answering all of their burning questions, and running mini drills and matches. Our young athletes had an absolute blast learning from the best!

A big thank you to Christ the King Lutheran Church, South Bend for their generosity and support of our Mobile Club! 💙

During services this weekend, the church presented us with a grant to support our programs. Our Mobile Club trailer was parked on-site for the occasion, and church members enjoyed touring the inside, assembling hands-on STEM kits, and making creations with our doodle pens.

We are so grateful to CtKLC for their warm hospitality and investment in our local youth. 🔬✨

This past Saturday, we hosted our annual Be Great Boat Party aboard the Madam Carroll, benefiting Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northern Indiana Corridor programs across White, Cass, Fulton, and Pulaski Counties!

Guests enjoyed a beautiful sunset cruise, dinner, a special program, and an incredible evening of live music from The Ship of Fools. After returning to shore, the party continued as we came together to celebrate our Clubs, our community, and the impact we’re making for kids across Northern Indiana.

One of the evening’s highlights was celebrating our 2026 Advocate of the Year, Leeann Wright, Executive Director of the Community Foundation of Pulaski County. Leeann has been a tireless champion for bringing Club services to Pulaski County, and her energy, passion, and commitment to kids and families have been instrumental in making this growth possible. We truly could not have done it without her!

A special thank you to headline sponsors 4C Health and Adkev, Inc. - Goodland, Indiana for helping make the evening so memorable—and to everyone who joined us and supported our mission. We’re so grateful for a night filled with great music, great people, and an even greater cause!

This week, we're highlighting one of the programs closest to our hearts: our Emotional Well-Being and Inclusion (EWBI) program. We know that finding accessible and affordable mental health support can be a challenge for many families in our community, which is why we're proud to provide comprehensive emotional well-being services right where our members already feel safe—in their Club, at no cost to families.

Our approach is built around three tiers of support, ensuring every child receives the level of care they need. Tier 1 reaches every Club member through social-emotional learning, coping skills programming, universal mental health screenings, and trauma-informed staff training that helps create emotionally safe environments each and every day. Tier 2 provides more individualized support by partnering with families to identify needs such as housing, transportation, community referrals, and skills coaching, helping remove barriers that can impact a child's success. Tier 3 offers the highest level of support through licensed clinicians who provide individual therapy, targeted group therapy, psychological and diagnostic testing, and referrals to outside providers when additional care is needed.

By meeting youth where they are and offering a continuum of care, we're able to support the emotional and mental health needs of our members before challenges become crises. We're incredibly proud of this program and the opportunity to ensure that every child has access to the support they need to learn, grow, and thrive. When we invest in the well-being of our young people, we strengthen our entire community.
