Associated Talmud Torahs Elevating Jewish education in Chicago! It has responded to the needs of those students who have special needs with its various special education programs.

The Associated Talmud Torahs (ATT) of Chicago is raising the bar for Jewish education in Chicago Jewish day schools through professional development, support for all learners, funding and advocacy. Created in 1929, the ATT has provided a quality Jewish education to its Jewish youth through various educational opportunities. As the supervisory agency of a network of more than 20 regional schools an

d REACH, the ATT plays a prominent role with each segment of its schools’ populations. Not only does the ATT provide direct resources to its schools and teachers, it also supplies its students and parents with a myriad of programs and services. The ATT assists in curricular planning, provides professional development of teachers, and supplies a host of educational resources to its schools. It offers a variety of scholarship programs to help ensure that all Jewish children will be able to participate in Jewish programs.

The ATT proudly announces this year’s Pogrund Family Essay and Judaic Artwork Contests for students in grades 3-12 of its affiliated schools. Funded by the generosity of the Pogrund Family, the contests provide students the opportunity to demonstrate their creativity, ability to research Jewish topics, and to express themselves through writing/art. Winners receive a $50.00 check.

Deadline for essay/art submission is Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
