🍻 Cheers to the Dirt! 🍻

Planning to fuel up before or after the Sisters Stampede or grab a cold pint this Memorial Day weekend? Head over to Luckey’s Woodsman!

From Saturday through Monday, our friends at Luckey's are hosting a "Toast The Trails" fundraiser. For every beer sold, they are donating $1 directly to the Sisters Trails Alliance to help us maintain the world-class trails you love.

πŸš΅β€β™€οΈ If you’re racing the Stampede this Sunday, remember: every mile of that dirt is maintained by our dedicated Sisters Trails Alliance volunteer crews. Let's toast the team that keeps the tread smooth. Whether you're a local trail regular or in town for the Stampede, let’s show Luckey’s some major trail community love.

Pro-tip: Mention "Toast The Trails" when you order so they know the trail community is in the house!

You're Invited!
5:00 to 7:00 pm Tomorrow - May 5th at the Sisters Community Recreation Center. Please join us for trail talk, project updates, and a look at the year ahead.

We're hosting an open house for you to learn about our volunteer teams, and chat with Team Leaders about various opportunities. Drop by to enter the raffle, grab a snack, and learn how you can get involved in making our trail system better for everyone.

Sisters Trails Alliance depends on volunteers to build, maintain, and provide advocacy and stewardship of Sisters Country trails. Volunteers are the heart and soul of STA and we are recruiting people to help fill out the following teams:

-Tools on the Trail: Building and Maintaining Trails
-Trail Signs: Leading the Way
-Communications: Sharing Trail Stories
-Aid Stations: Supporting Racers
-Trail Hosts and Adopters: Ambassadors on the Trail
-Volunteer Coordination: Connecting People
-Accessible Trails Assessment Team: Creating Trails for Everyone

This is a great way to meet other trail users, and learn how your skills can benefit the community in a fun, productive way. We'll describe what the different teams do, answer questions, and provide sign up options. If you can't join us that night but still want to become part of the team, shoot us a message or email [email protected].

Danny and Lisa Kuettle were out on the Whychus Creek trails recently doing some much needed work. They brushed out the FS 880 road that you take off of the 1514 road to get down to the 900 Camp trailhead parking area. And clearing the windfall off of the trail near the 900 Camp.

Big job, and they knocked it out. Thank you Danny and Lisa! 🌲

Four sawyers and two swampers β€” Arthur Turlak, Paul Diegel, Jeff Scheetz, Jenny Sutter, Danny Kuettle, and Bruce Allan β€” headed out to Green Ridge Trail recently to tackle a backlog of downed trees.

They split into two teams, starting from opposite ends of the trail and working toward each other. By the time they met in the middle, 20 trees of varying sizes had been cleared from the trail, plus a few more partially blocking nearby forest roads and a large tree on the Lookout access road.

Green Ridge Trail is clear end to end β€” until the next wind event. 🌲πŸͺš
