The Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire & Ambulance Association has hosted the community Easter Egg Hunt for more than 45 years. They also put on the Halloween Carnival, the Giving Tree, and the community Christmas dinner, all made possible by community donations.

Since 2009, the Association has also helped fund 67 Sisters GRO scholarships through the Jim Gentry Memorial Scholarship, created in memory of Chaplain Jim Gentry. It supports a student committed to serving others with compassion, collaboration, and empathy.

Thank you to the Association, and to everyone in the community who supports it.

One SHS senior hopes to spend a career behind the camera, capturing wildlife and wild places for the world to see. First stop: studying film at Portland State University.

A scholarship you start this fall could help make that first year possible.

Sisters Ace Hardware has been part of the Sisters GRO family since 2019, helping fund 25 scholarships for local female students as they head into their next chapter.

Twenty five awards, all through the generosity of a business owned by a woman who wanted other young women in this town to have a real shot at what comes next.

Next time you need a tool, a part, or just an excuse to swing by downtown, stop into Sisters Ace Hardware and thank Daly for showing up for our students year after year.
