Hope Africa International We are bringing hope to vulnerable children through physical and spiritual nurturing. Once a child is sponsored, his or her life changes drastically.

Many needy children in rural Africa feel as though they are on the outside looking in, knowing that without a source of income, succeeding in school will be difficult. Even if they attend a government school, there are fees for uniforms, exams, books and supplies. More often than not, children are then sent home at exam time because these fees have not been paid. Instead of struggling to participate regularly in school, they receive practical help and an excellent education. Hope Africa International pays attention to four aspects of child development for a holistic approach: academic, physical, social and spiritual. Spiritual development is a core component, through regular times of prayer, Bible study, and worship. Sponsorship at $39/month offers a child immediate hope, by covering the practical costs of a healthy start in life: school tuition and supplies, uniforms, a hot meal every day, and medical care as needed. Most importantly, sponsorship assures that the child has access to the eternal hope found in relationship with Jesus.

On October 10th, we invite you to join us at Sisters Community Church to celebrate how the children of Hope Africa are "Rooted and Rising", becoming the next generation of adults in their communities with hearts to make change.

At Hope Africa International, our goal is for children to have a strong foundation in life, rooted in the love of God, so they can thrive in their communities. The photo above was taken ten years ago and fits this idea of being spiritually, emotionally and physically rooted so children can rise above even the most difficult circumstances. The children in this photo are now almost all adults, many have graduated and some are at the end of their schooling. Year after year, we see the fruit of the simple investment of sponsorship in so many lives.

Join us at 5:30 PM for a delicious Ugandan style dinner and live auction of beautiful items and experiences!

Tickets are limited so register now here (or through the link in our profile): https://hopeafricakidsorg.reachapp.co/events/rooted-and-rising-hope-africa-dinner

Rooted and Rising-As we approach the last few months of the year, we are humbled by this class of incredible young people who are about to graduate. They have overcome many obstacles, faced challenges at home and at school, but are rooted in the love of God and rising above the difficulties life has thrown their way.
What a privilege it has been to witness their growing up years...read more about what this means here: - https://mailchi.mp/8316d93e1a00/rooted-and-rising

What a difference 10 years can make in the life of a child! Ten years ago, I met this girl when she was registered for sponsorship. Then, in May, I met her again (next pic) as she prepared to head off to her 2nd term of her final year of school! This simple investment by a sponsor in her life has made all the difference, giving her the opportunity to THRIVE and achieve.

Many children struggle to make it past primary school in rural Uganda, because school fees and success on government exams seem impossible for the average child. But, through sponsorship, kids are able to continue in school and also learn about the Hope of Christ.

Are you interested in giving a child an opportunity? For only $42/month, you can join a child's journey of education. Learn more at www.hopeafricakids.org

We have a team serving in Uganda this month to work alongside our faithful Ugandan staff. Our heart is always to support and encourage our workers who work tirelessly to raise up the next generation of Ugandans. Our team will be doing health screenings for 385 children in Kapchorwa, participating in discipleship of children, visiting their sponsored childrens' homes and much more.

It is such a blessing to work together for God's glory. Scroll through these pics of some of our teams from years past. People have helped with photography, videography, medical care, teaching, and simple encouragement. Thank you to all of our volunteers!

At K&K Schools, a tailoring program was started this year to build skills in students who need an alternative to traditional schooling. We are excited to give students this opportunity to learn how to make all kinds of clothing and be able to use this skill to earn a living in the future.

Have you been thinking about how you can bless the next generation?

Against All Odds
Every year, students in Primary 7 (7th grade), Secondary 4 (HIgh School) and Secondary 6 (graduates) in Uganda spend countless hours, evenings and weekends preparing for government exams. For rural children, this is especially important when the odds are stacked against them.

The Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) after Primary 7 determines if and where children can go to Secondary School (High School) Read More about how our students performed: - https://mailchi.mp/ff039d60dbbe/against-all-odds
