It's 5K time again! We're looking for volunteers to help make the 5K a safe, special day for all participants. This fall, the 5K will be held Saturday morning, October 31, at the Sanford Diamonds.

About 320 girls from across South Dakota are currently participating in Girls on the Run (GOTR) and learning to build confidence, be a good friend, and give back to their community. Along with these critical life skills, they are also training for our end-of-season Girls on the Run 5K. This celebratory, non-competitive event gives our girls a tangible goal and reinforces the important lessons they learned throughout their GOTR season. It’s a fun, exciting day for girls and our program!

EmBe is looking for a full-time Girls on the Run Program Coordinator to lead the organization, coordination, and implementation of Girls on the Run and Heart & Sole programs across South Dakota.

Girls on the Run is so much more than running. Through fun, experience-based lessons and physical activity, girls build confidence, develop essential life skills, and discover that they are capable of bold, amazing things. 🏃‍♀️💫

In this role, you’ll:
💜 Coordinate Girls on the Run programs and sites across South Dakota
💜 Recruit, train, and support volunteer coaches
💜 Build relationships with schools, families, coaches, and community partners
💜 Help create meaningful season-ending 5K experiences
💜 Coordinate Camp GOTR throughout the summer
💜 Support the growth and visibility of Girls on the Run through social media and community engagement
