Games are still on this week. Please make sure kiddos are staying hydrated.

Safety should always be your number one priority when playing outdoor sports when the temperature rises. Before you step up to the plate, make sure you and your team are fully prepared to beat the heat.

Here are some essential tips to keep you safe in the sun:

💧 Hydrate Before and During: Don't wait until you're thirsty to start drinking water! Keep a jug in the dugout.

🌳 Take Shade Breaks: Step out of the direct sun between innings to let your body temperature drop.

🧊 Use Cooling Towels: A damp, cool towel on your neck or head works wonders during a tough game.

🧴 Wear Sunscreen: Protect your skin from harmful UV rays—and remember to reapply!

⚠️ Know the Signs of Illness: Be aware of the symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Look out for yourself and your teammates.
