Join us April 9th for our next book club featuring the theme “Women & Power.” We’ll be gathering at the Augustana University Welcome Center for an evening of meaningful conversation and connection.

Did you know? The Junior League of Sioux Falls has teamed up with EmBe to host a book club centered on conversation, camaraderie, and discussing empowering topics—and we’d love for you to be part of it!

You can choose to read one or both of the following books:

Cassandra Speaks by Elizabeth Lesser – a powerful blend of storytelling, memoir, and cultural insight that inspires readers to reflect, grow, and work toward a more equitable world.

The Power by Naomi Alderman – a bold and thought-provoking novel that imagines an alternate reality while shedding light on our own.

We will also be collecting book donations for Reach Literacy at each meeting, so bring along any books you’re ready to pass on and share them with the next reader.

Here in Sioux Falls, the Junior League of Sioux Falls has been a proud chapter of AJLI for 40 years, continuing this powerful legacy of leadership and service right here at home. Our volunteers are the heart of everything we accomplish, and their impact extends far beyond today’s work.

The Junior League of Sioux Falls is celebrating the power of books to inspire, educate, and open doors. Literacy builds confidence, creates opportunity, and strengthens our community — and we’re proud to support a love of reading for women and families in Sioux Falls.

We’ve partnered with EmBe to host quarterly book clubs, bringing women together for meaningful conversation and connection. Our next event, Next Chapter Book Club: Women & Power, is coming up — we’d love for you to join us!
