Get ready for another incredible showcase in the Siouxland Toys For Tots Christmas in July Battle of the Bars! 🌲✨ Clocking in as our fabulous fifth contender is none other than the fantastic Pub 52! We caught up with the team to chat about childhood nostalgia, epic holiday memories, and why they are fighting for the top spot. Check out their inspiring answers below!
The driving force behind Pub 52
The absolute best part of owning a bar is the people! From their fiercely loyal patrons to their rockstar staff and every single new face that walks through the door, meeting amazing people along the way is what makes it all worthwhile. Reaching an incredible 12 years in the business is a major milestone for them, and they even had to double-count because it doesn't sound real. Time flies when you are having fun!
A decade of giving back
Pub 52 has been proudly supporting Toys For Tots for roughly 10 years, carrying on a beautiful tradition of generosity that originally started with the owner's mom, Robin, back when they were at JT’s. The passion for this fundraiser has only grown stronger over the years, making it one of the yearly events they look forward to most. They readily agreed to join this year's battle to rally behind an amazing, life-changing cause and to enjoy a little healthy competition against some of their favorite places in town.
Unbeatable specials & holiday nostalgia
To get everyone in the giving spirit, Pub 52 is running an ultimate, game-changing deal where bringing in 1 toy gets you 10% off your bill, and bringing in 2 toys scores a massive 20% off. Even better, you can use this discount as many times as you want throughout the competition! When it comes to holiday nostalgia, the childhood favorite was Hot Wheels hands down, especially since they used to have all the most epic tracks. As for an adult wishlist, Legos are the top choice because the complexity of the modern sets is absolutely unreal.
Finally, their most favorite feel-good holiday memories are a beautiful tie, spanning from the pure joy of my mother watching me open gifts as a kid, to now experiencing that exact same magical feeling watching my own two kids open presents on Christmas morning. Nothing else beats that feeling!
