When we look at this construction site, we donβt just see concrete and steel, we see the future of campers like Nick. For his family, finding a safe, inclusive environment was a profound challenge. As his mom, Melissa, shared, βThis camp has been a lifesaver for us. This is the only place Nick will come. Thatβs why itβs so important to us. We hold this camp dear to our hearts because itβs just wonderful.β
As a year-round camp in Iowa, we urgently need more indoor program space to operate effectively during the colder months. This new 14,800 sq. ft. facility features an indoor multi-purpose gym, specialized adaptive activities, and fully adaptive locker rooms. More importantly, it will allow us to accommodate an additional 20 campers per session, easing the burden of our current waiting lists. With similar services unavailable within 300 miles, the demand for our life-changing programs is higher than ever.
