New to Franklin Parent and Student Orientations
Hello and welcome to all of our incoming 9th graders families and students who will be joining Franklin for the very first time! I am excited to welcome you to two events introducing you and your student to Franklin. On the evening of August 31st our PTSA (see info below) will be hosting a new parent orientation- both parents and students are welcome for this event! The next morning, September 1st, we will have a student focused orientation at the school supported by our partners with The Good Foot. We do ask that this is a student only event and that parents return to pick up their students and not accompany them as our students start their High School journey

Welcome, 9th Grade Families!

Starting high school is a big transition—for students and their families—and we’re excited to welcome you to Franklin!

Please join Franklin staff and the Franklin PTSA for a special 9th Grade Family Orientation:

Monday, August 31
6:00–7:30 p.m.
Franklin High School Auditorium

Come learn what to expect during your student’s first year at Franklin. Staff will share helpful information about:

High school credits and graduation requirements
What life is like for a Franklin 9th grader
Clubs, activities, and ways to get involved
Resources and tips to help your student have a successful first year
There will also be plenty of time to ask questions, meet other Franklin families, connect with staff, and learn more about the PTSA.

Reminder: there will be a separate student orientation September 1st at the school from 10:00 Am- 12:30 PM

We can’t wait to welcome you to the Franklin community!

Fall sports are right around the corner! Franklin offers:

Football begins on August 19th and all other fall sports begin on August 24th.

ELIGIBILITY -
To be eligible to participate, you and your athlete must be signed up in FinalForms. Go to Seattleschools-wa.finalforms.com

Select the parent log in icon, fill out the required forms, select which sport your student wants to participate in, and upload a current, valid physical. Reminder that students can only participate in one sport each season (1 in fall, 1 in winter, and 1 in spring).

Students and families who are registered at Franklin will automatically be uploaded into FinalForms. Which means you do not need to create an account. If you do not know your log in or have never used FinalForms, select the option "click here for a confirmation email." An email will be sent to the one you provide with a link to set up your account.

All information about practice times and schedule will go through Final Forms from the coaches. However, you can always email them with questions.

Our "Get Your Bid On" Auction is coming up on October 3rd, and we’re looking for season‑ticket donations to help support student programs, classroom resources, and extracurricular activities.

If you have connections to local sports teams, theaters, concert venues, or organizations that offer season tickets or multi‑event passes, we’d love your help! These items are always a huge hit and make a big impact for our students.
