It’s the BIG 50th year celebration!!! A Seattle tradition!!’

Presented by Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, the 50th Annual Northwest Folklife Festival will take place online on Memorial Day weekend (May 28-31, 2021). Created in partnership with Seattle Center, the festival features 6 program channels and a virtual marketplace that will bring together local culture bearers, artists, creatives, sponsors, and merchants all on the From Home to Home platform (nwfolklife.org).

We are excited to unveil the official 2021 poster, designed by local artist Robert L. Horton. This special design was inspired by the people, songs, and sounds of the past 50 years of Northwest Folklife, while also painting a vision of the next 50.

They represent the human skulls of those who have parted to the destination that eventually we will all arrive. But they are also a way to indulge the palate and maintain one of the richest traditions of this celebration.

To take us step by step through that sweet journey of how to make your skull at home, 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐚 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐚 will be participating with us.
