Rosalina knows what it means to search for opportunity far from home.
She migrated to Mexico and even attempted to reach the United States, hoping to create a better future for herself and her son.

Today, she is building new possibilities in her own community.

At La Fortaleza Harvest of Hope Center in Honduras, Rosalina is learning earning climate-smart agricultural practices, cultivating tomatoes, and putting new skills into practice as she works toward greater stability for her family.

On the International Day of Rural Women, we recognize women like Rosalina whose work, perseverance, and determination are helping strengthen rural communities.

Her determination, combined with access to new opportunities and skills, is helping her build greater stability for her family.

For Judith, a small food business became a way to create greater stability for her family.

Every Saturday in the community of San Francisco, in La Dalia, Nicaragua, she sells enchiladas, tacos, and drinks at the local school. For a long time, limited equipment made it difficult to grow the business.

With access to a small business loan, Judith chose to invest in larger cookware and containers that helped her prepare and serve more food.

Her sales grew from around 35 products per market day to more than 120.

Through training, Judith also learned to save, plan ahead, and make clearer decisions about her business.

Today, she is building on what she started and creating more possibilities for her home, her business, and her family.

This Friday, we gather for Tierras de Vida 2026.

On October 2, friends, partners, and supporters will come together in Seattle to celebrate the determination of farming families across Central America and the opportunities they are building for their futures.

It will be an evening of stories, connection, and hope — a time to celebrate what is taking shape and to continue walking alongside families as they build stronger livelihoods, greater stability, and opportunities that can grow across generations.

At Agros, we believe God designed families to flourish. Tierras de Vida is a moment to gather around that hope and celebrate what families are building for their future.
