Climate-smart agriculture begins with the decisions farming families make every day.

Across the communities Agros serves, producers are applying practices such as bio-inputs, efficient water use, reforestation, and soil restoration—helping protect natural resources while strengthening their livelihoods.

Every family begins from a different place.

The Harvest of Hope Center model is designed to meet families where they are, with different paths of support depending on their reality.

Some families are working toward land, home, and agribusiness ownership. Some producers already have land and are strengthening their production and access to markets. Other households are building new sources of income through small businesses and entrepreneurship.

Each path looks different, but the purpose is shared: helping families strengthen their skills, income, assets, and long-term opportunity.

For more than four decades, Agros has continued to innovate and grow. But our mission has never changed: to make God's love visible by creating opportunities where families can flourish through faith, hard work, and the generosity of others.

The Harvest of Hope Center model is designed to grow stronger with each group of families it serves.

Four pillars help make that possible: connecting producers to markets, using assets that can serve families over time, following standardized processes and best practices, and using donor support to launch platforms built for long-term sustainability.

Together, these pieces help families and producers access the infrastructure, support, and opportunities they need to build stronger livelihoods and move toward ownership.

At La Fortaleza Harvest of Hope Center, young people like Sady, from the village of El Carrizal, are building knowledge and creating new opportunities for their future.

As he shares, “We are learning many things about agriculture, and that allows us to work better.” That hands-on learning helps young people grow in experience, confidence, and vision for what they want to build.

Sady’s story reflects the effort and hope of many rural young people who are taking concrete steps toward a stronger future for themselves and their families.

Community leadership is what keeps a water system working over time.

In several rural communities of La Bendición Harvest of Hope Center, local leaders and families dedicate time, coordination, and shared effort to maintain and strengthen the system their communities depend on.

Their commitment helps bring water closer to home and sustain the progress hundreds of families are already experiencing.

With donor support and Agros’ long-term accompaniment, communities continue strengthening their capacity to care for the system today and extend its benefits in the future.

In Guatemala, Indigenous women are turning their textile skills into small businesses that strengthen their household economies while keeping traditions deeply connected to their identity and communities alive.

Their work, creativity, and determination are at the center of this progress. Agros walks alongside them by helping expand access to tools and opportunities that support the continued growth of their businesses.

In recognition of the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, we recognize the value of their knowledge, their entrepreneurial capacity, and their contribution to future generations.
