Calling Indigenous Artists.

Food Lifeline is seeking an Indigenous / Native artist, art collective, or collaborative team to create a new indoor mural at our South Seattle facility.

The mural will help create a welcoming space for our community while honoring the Coast Salish lands on which we operate and exploring themes of food sovereignty, nourishment, community care, belonging, and connection to land.

The project includes a $10,000 all-inclusive stipend, with priority given to artists connected to Coast Salish and local Pacific Northwest Tribal communities.

Applications are due October 12, 2026 at 5 PM PT.

It’s Truck Driver Appreciation Day!

Today, we're recognizing one of the many drivers who help carry out Food Lifeline's mission: Ronnie Schmidt. As the sun comes up, Ronnie is already on the road, making deliveries across Western Washington and helping ensure food reaches communities throughout our region.

His story is just one of many that help keep Food Lifeline moving every day. We're celebrating Ronnie and every Food Lifeline driver who helps make this work possible. Together, they logged 7,227 delivery hours, made 12.1K trips and drove 302.7K miles to help serve more than 100 agencies and food banks across 17 counties.Thank you for the time, care and commitment you bring to every mile.
