Lifelong is the leading community health organization that serves people with chronic illnesses, including HIV/AIDS, in Western Washington. We believe all people have a right to a roof over their head, healthy food to eat, and access to affordable healthcare. Lifelong delivers food, housing, and health services; collaborates with community organizations on the prevention and care of chronic disease; and advocates for effective HIV/AIDS policy. Simply put — we make health work.

One month from today: Gay Bingo: Studio 54 Edition.

Saturday, November 7, 7 PM at Victory Hall will be a night to remember with host Dana Goldberg, drag headliner Sativa Queen, DJ ESSEX, and a VIP After Party with Betty Wetter and The ABBAgraphs.

Bingo, prizes, and cocktails, all benefiting Lifelong's work in food, housing, and whole-person health care.

Big news: Lifelong is expanding statewide.

CEO James Shackelford joined KUOW Public Radio’s Kim Malcolm to talk about what's next. Our Food & Nutrition Program has already served 1,700 people this year, 33% more than in 2025—and nearly 2,000 more are on our waitlist.

Now we're bringing nutritious food to neighbors across Washington. That includes home delivery where we can reach you and a week's worth of meals shipped to your door in places like Eastern Washington.

Want to help make it happen? We're hiring cooks, delivery drivers, and registered dietitian nutritionists, and we always welcome new volunteers in the kitchen.

Our 2025 Impact Report featured our client Margo, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at age 30 and has used a wheelchair ever since. With support from her Lifelong case manager, Margo stays connected to the resources that help her maintain her independence.
