Today, we pause to remember and honor the courageous men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸
On this Memorial Day, we also reflect on the countless servicemen and women of color who served with courage and sacrifice while still facing injustice, discrimination, and inequality here at home.
We remember the Tuskegee Airmen.
The Japanese American soldiers who served while their families were held in internment camps.
The First Nations people who gave their lives while their lands, cultures, and sovereignty continued to be overlooked and challenged.
And today, we also acknowledge the 6th anniversary of George Floyd’s death. A moment that awakened painful truths and renewed conversations around racial justice, dignity, and our shared humanity.
As we remember those we have lost, may we continue building communities rooted in reconciliation, justice, compassion, and hope for future generations.
Wishing you a meaningful Memorial Day.
