The YAAC is a group of young adults who actively support the advancement of Breakthrough T1D’s advocacy priority areas, spread awareness of type 1 diabetes (T1D) within their communities, and inspire youth to use their voices and share their stories with key decision makers.

Meet Anna! To celebrate her 1 Year Diaversary, her and her partner skipped the chairlifts at the Summit at Snoqualmie and relied solely on human power to make their way up the mountain.

Anna chose to support Breakthrough T1D and for every $25 donated, they completed one full lap at Summit West (hike up, ski down)! Needless to say, they got plenty of steps - and skiing- in that day!

A huge thank you to Bainbridge High School Girls Basketball for raising $5,000 in support of Breakthrough T1D Greater Northwest through their Community 3's program.

Throughout the season, every 3-pointer made by the girls and boys teams resulted in a $20 donation from Community Sports to benefit local nonprofits. The BHS Varsity Girls team selected Breakthrough T1D as their beneficiary, and we are incredibly grateful for their support and partnership.

We’re also so happy that our own Allyson Brown was able to attend the check presentation and celebrate this meaningful impact with the team.

Thank you to Elsa, Ryan, and Community Sports for helping make a difference for the type 1 diabetes community and moving our mission of a world without T1D forward!
