Tomorrow, we celebrate Juneteenth and recommit ourselves to anti-racism in our workplaces and beyond.

To mark the holiday, WSNA and the Oregon Nurses Association bring you “Dignity is Our Vital Sign,” a free CNE video with Seattle pediatrician and advocate Dr. Ben Danielson.

In this video, Dr. Danielson offers his thoughts on the continued importance of Juneteenth, and the unique role nursing must play in leading efforts to dismantle racism.

We are offering this free for all nurses through Sunday, July 19. Learners must watch the entire video and complete an evaluation to receive 0.5 contact hours.

WSNA is deeply disturbed by the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old patient in the Specialized Emergency Care Unit at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham by a 37-year-old patient. Patients, families, nurses, and healthcare workers all deserve a safe care environment. Read the full statement on our website.
