The veil is thinning and its that time to dress up in your favorite costume! Our Oceania Youth Collective is hosting a Hallows Eve party for high schoolers. Come carve a pumpkin, sing a karaoke song and have some fun with us. Best costume wins a prize!

Warm Oceanian greetings to you all. Please join us for our Umu & Talanoa next Wednesday, Oct 21, at Oceania at 5pm. We will have a delicious dinner made by Mana Wahine member Ata. She is cooking up collard greens, sweet beans, bbq chicken and cornbread. Join us for a talanoa on vaccines.

We wish the stewards of these lands, our Coast Salish kin, and all Indigenous peoples a very happy Indigenous People’s Day. We support our Indigenous relatives here in their continued fight for Indigenous Sovereignty on Turtle Island as we also fight for Indigenous Sovereignty over our Moana.

We are so thankful for our Oceanian village for all of your support in helping us celebrate Fiji Day this year. There were so many hands that went into all of the preparation months in advance and on the day of the celebration. We thank you for your gift of time, sharing the food of your hearts, and for being a part of our village here at our Oceania NW Community Center. Thank you Dr. Ponipate for sharing your brilliance and instilling in us the passion and knowledge to continue to fight oppression and work towards liberation for Fijians on the Vanua and here in the Pacific Northwest Diaspora. We love you all. We would like to take the time and especially thank the families below. Without you all, we wouldn’t have been able to celebrate well because we all know food is life, love and hospitality. Vinakavakalevu!
