Our treble choirs welcome and affirm girls and all youth beyond the binary. Established in 1972, Northwest Girlchoir revolutionizes choral education by rejoicing in students’ voices and creativity through embodied music-making. Guided by our commitment to anti-racism, we inspire joy, belonging, and confidence, and cultivate community through shared experience. Our treble choirs welcome and affirm

girls and all youth marginalized by gender. Four auditioned choir levels—Amabile, Vivace, Amore, and Ensemble, serve singers in grades 5-12. Two non-auditioned programs are Prep Choir which serves singers in grades 1-2 and Fresca which serves singers in grades 3+. In a joyful and supportive environment, choristers in Northwest Girlchoir sing, learn, and grow - as musicians and as young people. In 6 different choir levels, singers develop healthy technique, build musicianship skills, and develop creative and collaborative skills. Through a rich rehearsal process, they prepare for public, main stage concerts and community performances throughout the year. Last year, Northwest Girlchoir walked in the Seattle Pride Parade for the first time! Our choristers, parents, alums, and staff represented our organization sharing our mission with the Seattle community and beyond.

We so WISH we could take part in the parade again this year, but our Amore choristers will be on tour at the same time. We can't wait to be in the 2027 parade!

Join us for a special evening of choral music as Tucson Girls Chorus visits Seattle for a collaborative performance with Northwest Girlchoir. This unique concert celebrates the connection created through music, bringing together dedicated young singers from the Southwest and Pacific Northwest for an unforgettable musical exchange.

Founded in 1985, Tucson Girls Chorus is recognized for its commitment to artistic excellence, leadership, and community engagement, empowering young singers through dynamic choral experiences. Hosting the exchange, Northwest Girlchoir has inspired generations of singers through outstanding music education and performances that foster confidence, creativity, and collaboration.

The concert will feature performances by each choir individually, showcasing the beauty and energy of treble voices. The entire Northwest Girlchoir community is invited to this free collaborative concert with Tucson Girls Chorus!

Northwest Girlchoir is looking for more singers to join us in September for our 2026-2027 choir year. We celebrate student voice and creativity; cultivate community; and inspire joy, belonging, and confidence for girls and gender expansive youth. We are located near Northgate and are accessible by light rail and bus!

Enjoy a week of camp activities that celebrate creativity! Campers will sing in a choir and can choose from a list of classes that includes art, dance, improvisation, and more! Campers will interact each day with professional arts educators as well as NWGC alum/high school mentors. For rising 2nd-5th graders, including girls and gender expansive youth.

July 20 - July 24, 2026

Curious what singing in a treble-voiced choir is all about? Join us Monday, June 1 – Wednesday, June 3, 2026 for June Visiting Days! Students entering grades 1-12 are invited to join one of Northwest Girlchoir's choirs for an open rehearsal. This is a great opportunity to check out one of our choirs before enrolling!
