Hello Ingraham Community!
In honor of Earth Month in April, we have the chance to keep plastic film out of landfills! This spring, Ingraham High School is hosting a Ridwell recycling drive. You’re invited to bring plastic film: https://www.ridwell.com/pickup-categories/pOY6Pd6E (ziptop bags, grocery bags, bubble wrap, bread bags, and lots more) to school by May 5th, and Ridwell will make sure it stays out of landfills. Start collecting plastic film now so you have a bunch to bring during the drive!
This info sheet:https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5eed22c094712d33e79dc3a4/t/66d752397b100e40c32b5ac6/1725387324204/All_about_plastic_film.pdf explains what plastic film is and why it’s hard to recycle. This video: https://vimeo.com/330587653? shows a ton of examples. All the plastic film we collect during the drive will be turned into Trex decking: https://blog.ridwell.com/blog/where-does-it-go-plastic-film-edition
Curious about recycling more from home, like the school is doing?
Visit https://get.ridwell.com/ingraham to learn more about Ridwell. You can help the school earn plastic-film pickups for the entire ‘26/’27 school year if 10 new members join Ridwell Pickups or Mail-in through our school’s webpage by May 22.
Ridwell picks up hard to recycle plastics, reusable items, and so much more right from your door, then works with local partners to keep them out of the landfill. Become a member today!
