We’re so excited to announce NFFTY’s first Filmmaker Meetup! Join us for a special screening of THE SCOUT on Friday, Oct 9 at 7pm at the SIFF Film Center 🎬

Alumni of the 2016 edition of NFFTY, Director Paula González-Nasser and Producer/Co-Editor Ryan Martin Brown will be in attendance for a Q&A following the film. Discounted tickets are available for NFFTY-aged (24 years old and younger) attendees, and ticket holders are invited to attend a reception after the screening where light refreshments will be provided.

kicked off the evening with a beautiful acoustic set. Folks were then treated to chocolate popcorn and a smattering of NFFTYs best music videos from the past few festivals. wrapped up the evening by shredding in front of their newly debuted music videos 🎸

Submit your screenplay by October 23rd for the opportunity to join the first Story Starts Here screenwriting cohort ✨

The NFFTY Screenwriting Intensive: Story Starts Here is an opportunity for tomorrow’s best storytellers to get constructive critique on their script before entering production. Four participants and their projects will be chosen and paired with an industry mentor to develop their project and refine their voice. The program will culminate at NFFTY 2027, where screenwriters will attend the festival and participate in a table read of their script 📖
