As anyone who has used a compass knows that getting off one degree can significantly change one's course. So is true with Memorial Day. We must not let our focus slip just a bit about what this day is about. We honor and remember those who gave their in all in service of our country. And we will teach the next generation to do the same.

Today, those who paid the ultimate price are being remembered during National Wreaths Across America Day. Volunteers around the U.S. are laying wreaths on the graves of veterans.
